Has anyone gotten VST effects to work in any of the above listed programs?

I've read about people using Audio Hijack Pro to use VST's in iTunes:

In my experience, the "use case" for this is mainly to compensate shitty equipment (monitors, headphones)

So buy better monitors and you don't need any EQ or whatever after that.

Or switch to a media player that does support a plugin chain (WinAmp for example)

You could use Asio link as Windows output, then open any vst host and all audio will pass through.

Your experience, then, seems to be rather limited.

Is it possible? Windows Mixer / WMP / iTunes VST support?
