i tried out Modplugtracker, works, but i also exported with XMplayer and then the file
BGM1 had 5 different WAVs exported. with Modplugtracker it only had 1 file?!?!? so 4 were missing, like the other 4 were some extra music from BGM1 ?! im getting confused.
how to convert XM to WAV or MP3?

.xm files contain instructions for instruments & patterns as well as up to 32 (audio) samples... Maybe you have extracted the samples which gave you 5 WAV files, and in the other case you have rendered the track which gave you just 1 WAV file?

Assuming you're on PC, Foobar2000 will do it with the DUMB Module Decoder component. Foobar is an excellent lightweight audio player that I use for all my audio playback. Highly recommended.
Installing components is easy. Once you've installed Foobar, just download the component and double click the file. Done.
Drag your XM into Foobar's playlist, then right click it and select 'convert'. I can't really vouch for its accuracy as I've only just tried it out in response to your question, but I gave it a quick go and it handled 2 relatively challenging modules (containing ultra-fast retriggers and pitch slides) very well.
