You've got to be kidding though. No? The bad news is if you're looking for groupies, your best bet is to buy an acoustic guitar and go country or of you're decent looking indie-singer songwriter. The good news is, if you do happen to strike a girl's fancy while you're doing your ambient set, there's a way better chance of it actually turning into a real relationship because she probably has good taste, or at least taste aligned with yours.
In all my time as a musician, I never once think it got me laid. Well to put a finer point on it, it got me offers but nothing that seemed like I wanted to explore, let's put it that way, but maybe I'm a romantic. Maybe I have no "game." The closest music ever came to love was the conversation I struck up with the girl who had a King Crimson sticker on her motorcycle helmet. The romantic part of that crashed and burned after a while, but she still remains one of my closest friends, if not my closest.
Oh yeah, and when I was 14 I had a puppylove thing with a girl who I met at a Beatlefest who thought I looked like Ringo. (it's me ned!) We were close for a while until she went to look for her "Paul."
Trust me no one wants the wiseasery of John with the looks of Ringo.
Anyway, in 2014 I think you've got a better chance for love and sex using Craig's List. (where I met my wife after I broke up with my girlfriend who I found was cheating on me with a dude she met on Craig's List.)
