Keep it simple like it is now with single cord, what could you use two stereo cords for , better control over stereo effects like panning far right two synths and chaing effects to there seperate fields?

With FL, using midi loopback is the only way I know.highkoo wrote:Anyone know how to get the midi sequences out of this thing and into regular ol' FL?

We are looking into it. It's a Beta!spacecult wrote:With FL, using midi loopback is the only way I know.highkoo wrote:Anyone know how to get the midi sequences out of this thing and into regular ol' FL?

Yes, and a nice one. Very impressed. Load/save midi files would be handy, for sure.Image-Line wrote:We are looking into it. Regarding the stereo cable vs 2 mono cables, i think the simplest solution is keeping the stereo cables and using an L/R encoder, or even they could make one built in, maybe with the option to select L/R or Mid/Side ^^

Using the standalone host, Soniccharge Microtonic outputs continuous noise if its sequencer is playing.
It seems to be related to each engine as you can mute them to isolate one and then play with the osc frequency and other parameters which then has an effect on the output.
The mini host piano roll can be used to sequence micro tonic (and generate expected drum sounds and rhythms) providing mictrotonic's sequencer is switched off.
Still a great application though besides this.

It would be wonderful if the standalone program could also record a track to audio. For playing pianos, that would make this a godsend. I understand, of course, that you do not want to create a full host. But none of the popular piano libraries or programs have a midi editor and audio recording built in. You have to instead open a host daw\sequencer program. (PIanoteq can record midi and render it to an audio file, but there is no midi editor. The few standalone piano libraries do not even record midi.) Might be an add-on for which the user would be charged? After all, it could be argued that the current program has limited appeal--it's great for playing, but what if one creates a piece that you want to keep? You would have to recreate the same setup in a host and play it again or copy the midi into the host. An ordeal that could be avoided if there a way to render or record an audio file.
Great looking program, however. Looking forward to seeing where you take it.

For recording an audio stream, why not use something like Voxengo Recorder?

Yes, load/save would be nice. And if copy/paste from Minihost piano roll to FL piano roll was working it would be a huge convenience.

Thanks, but unfortunately, Voxengo's Recorder is 32 bit, and I need a way to record from the 64 bit standalone version. Do you know of any 64 bit vst recorders?Compyfox wrote:For recording an audio stream, why not use something like Voxengo Recorder?

Edison looks nice. But, ouch, $99. I like the Voxengo Recorder's price better.mn wrote:Edison has an x64 version.

What? Again?!Jake Jackson wrote:Thanks, but unfortunately, Voxengo's Recorder is 32 bit, and I need a way to record from the 64 bit standalone version. Do you know of any 64 bit vst recorders?Compyfox wrote:For recording an audio stream, why not use something like Voxengo Recorder?
This is what really pisses me off with the developer. Claims to create excellent tools, but ultimately abandons them. RECORDER was flexible, didn't even try it yet with jBridge or something. But it did it's job (even though it was CPU taxing on my end).
Same with r8brain and Impulse Modeler.
Maybe I'll get in touch with MeldaProduction - he's a top bloke and maybe he's up to the task to create a simple, transparent x64 ready WAV recorder for low funds. Else, EDISON it is indeed. (though I didn't see a recording limit with this tool - and 99USD is indeed a bit steep, but then again, it's more than just a "recorder").
