I can't even get mad at seeing sale prices. Still think it was a great deal full price. I use this thing constantly. Best sounding bluetooth speaker I've heard even though I'm using it wired quite a bit for music making apps. Bluetooth is great for Pandora or my iTunes collection, but wired is better for Beatmaker 2, Gadget, Guitar apps.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm loving mine too for the same reasons. Using it with my Macbook and Samsung Galaxy phone all the time too.

I've now tried several Bluetooth speakers, and although latency is there, it isn't all that bad.
The speaker I've settled on is called the G-Grip, which is great, (no where near the volume of the iLoud of course) but the frequency response is fairly smooth down to about 350Hz. The latency seems to be maybe 20ms at the most which is totally useable for overdubbing. Maybe there's a way to compensate through software eventually.

Just saw that Line 6 has their bluetooth solution out. Interesting, but they offer no hard specs on it and two models, but only one is portable. Substantially larger than iLoud. The Amp and effects software is built into the unit and uses a remote app to edit and control along with a few knobs on top of the unit.

I think this is going to be the same case as the Deep Blue speaker - lots of watts, but not very portable.

I don't think iLoud sales will suffer from any of this yet. Still looks like the best sounding, loudest, most features for iOS musicians, speaker out on the market. Also longest battery life.

One thing I noticed with iLoud is that if you are using it to play audio apps and want ultra low latency, then of course use the wired connection, but remember to turn off Bluetooth on the iOS device. Plugging in a wired connection doesn't automatically set wired as priority. So you still will be using bluetooth unless you turn it off.

Thank you for that. We're definitely quite proud of iLoud and the reaction we've been getting. It was hard to showcase at NAMM recently, but where people can listen to it without too much in the way we really get the "wow" factor. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/iloud
