Precisionsound releases Dusty Electric Mk II for HALion & Kontakt

For Dusty Electric Mk II we used a well tuned and served Rhodes® Stage Piano Mark II (Seventy Three) from 1980.
This item has its own personality and sound that we like very much.

All notes have been recorded in 24bit without any post treatment. What you get is the pure and true sound and response of the instrument in up to 5 velocity layers and 3 velocity release layers.

To keep the size down (under 235 MB) and still be extremely realistic, we looped each sample very carefully so you won’t notice it.

Dusty Electric Mk II contains 520 individual 24 bit Mono WAV samples.
1 program each for HALion 1.*, HALion 2 and NI Kontakt 1.2 and are available on
CD-ROM and as a downloadable SampleSet

Sounds nice. I could only get the first demo, others didn't started, and it sounded quite nice.

I had a little hesitation seeing the price but it's about Swedish kourons I guess? Anybody knows the change rate of that currency in euro or dollar? Sorry but SEK isn't familiar to me yet...

You can change currencies in the "shop" pulldown menu to the left.

I´ll try to change the placement of the DEMOS.

Now are the links corrected for all 3 DEMO songs.
And the default currency is changed to dollar.

Thx for the fast reply :)

(You know, that bad habit to read fast the only information you need on a page, just not seeing the one you might find usefull, just the next frame...)

Back to the ep, it's quite promising, well priced and realistic in the use of ram. If this soundset is really what the demo show it is (despite the pianist's style I'd say, question of personal taste surely), then it is a real good product. I may just buy a copy this week :P

What would be fantastic is if you could make a demo with the sound dry showing the various aspects of the instrument's playing styles and abilities (fast "pumping" rhythmic patterns, slow balads, left hand bass pursuit, right hand middle keyboard and high keyboard chord progression, low velocity, velocity progression, high velocity etc etc.) If it's too much a request don't do : it's just about figuring out how balanced is the instrument per se (medium rich enough, bells not too high, release samples not too long, how discreet is the loop point, tuning aspects etc etc.) If you don't do it's not a big problem anyway, as it's always possible to edit the patch in the sampler to make it just right for such or such playing style.

I also checked the other demos on the site and all the soundsets seem really well done (the accordion for instance) and very affordable, congratulations!

sounds nice, but the demo's are very, mellow.

it would be nice to hear some hard knocking, FUNK.

I wonder why you only supply Hallion and Kontakt
no sf2/giga ?

There will be at least two more demos up soon for the Dusty Electric Mk II.

About formats, Well we are planning to ad EXS24 programs to all our multisampled instruments in the future. Giga would be nice too, i understand that.
