A 6ms electronic latency is equivalent in every respect to the speed of sound in air over roughly 6' 6". I find 10-20 ms.I start getting irritated above 6ms as I can hear the 'disconnect' of my playing. 12ms for example drives me up a wall for real time playing!

“Although it may take several thousand data bus operations to completely scan the keyboard and establish the appropriate oscillator CVs, you perceive no delay between keystroke and the note produced because of the speed at which the program is executed. The basic program ‘loops’ every 6ms (166 time a second) to maintain the current status of the machine. Any status change such as a keystroke extends the loop time to about 11ms.”
