Made this one with no synths (unless you count HammerHead)... all guitar. The only effects besides dynamics/eq are e-phonic lofi and a pod xt. Ozone for mastering.
Bruce Willis - No woman, no money, just an antique 21st century guitar. Signs up for a job as a titanium miner in the asteroid belt.
Problem is - the intergalactic Mafia want this particular asteroid as part of their plan to take over the Galaxy.
--------
Chorus: I'm a 24K asteroid miner, Bringing titanium power to the people
I'm a 24K asteroid miner, Bringing titanium power to the people.
Goddamm the day I stood in line
To sign up for a job in the titanium mine
They promised me the moon and stars
I got the second asteroid on the left from Mars
Chorus.
Space warps the mind when you're all alone
I'm gonna end up sleeping with a mining drone
The only thing keeps me sane on this star
Is playing funky music on my old guitar.
This track is for the opening credits of the yet-to-be-made movie of Iain M Banks' "Against A Dark Background"
Thousands of years into the future, on a planet in the far reaches of the galaxy.....
The camera is over the shore of a huge sea.
Where the sea meets the land, the sand of the beach has been fused to a glass surface. Beyond that are huge Dunes.
There is nothing on the glassy shore but an old beat-up automatic beachcomber collecting the flotsam and jetsam washed up there.
In the distance a tiny dust cloud announces the arrival of an approaching single-person vehicle, traveling at great velocity towards the beach. The camera pans high and wide, moving over to be above the vehicle and we follow it's progress down to the beach.

If you haven't read this book, I'd strongly recommend it to all Sci-Fi fans. It's a space opera full of odd , quirky characters and mind-bending ideas.
The year is 3010. Earth achieved world peace 200 years ago. However the peace is soon to be broken by a race of "bug eyed" aliens from the planet zog. Only one man can save the universe from these evil creatures. An astronaut who has been genetically enhanced with special powers. The one and only...
The hero, alone in his ship, flying close to Pluto, passing through a true cimetery: million of exploded ships, human and alien bodies floating all around: the dead rests of the last battle of the first galactic war...
The shot is wonderful, with lots of stunning effects...
sadness, death (what are we flying for? think the hero), the key scene of the film, the hero's identity crisis...
will he be able to save the world against the new alien threat, and will he fall in love with the wild widow he rescued on the dark side of the moon? watch the film if you want to know...
My humble submission this time is a science fiction remix. I've always wanted to do a remix, but this was the first subject material that I could express myself whole-heartedly in a remix manner.
A multi-national team of zero-G commandos executes a raid on an alien satellite engineered to kill off the entire population of the Northern Hemisphere.

After Earth is struck by a comet and a meteor, and a giant solar flare, 2 giant space ships are dispatched to find new planets for a select few of Earths survivors. Earthship 1 captained by Sylvester Stalone and piloted by Hugh Grant finds the first planet, Earth2, but its a shithole and is inhabited by dinosaurs. They have to land because they are out of fuel and they get eaten. Moby and Gérard Depardieu and a small group from the ship survive by hiding in the giant piles of dino poop in the blistering hot sun during the day, and hiding in even bigger piles of dino doody during the freezing cold nights.
Earthship 2 captained by Will Smith and piloted by Keith Richards crash lands on a tropical paradise planet where thet immediatly set up a government for Earth3, with Russell Crowe as president and Rosie O'Donell as vice president and Nicole Kidman as their bitch. This govenment fails miserably and the survivors split into two groups. The Men, and the Woman. Hilarity ensues when Rosie wants to join the men and Crowe wants to join the woman. Laughs come a plenty as Will Smith constantly tries and fails to get busy with Kidman, and Richards samples every plant for something he can smoke or make wine out of. Rodney King ecourages the two groups to "just get along" and Michael Jackson backs him up reminding everyone their primary goal is to have children.
They recieve a distress call from the inhabitants of Earth2 and they realize they have to come together to repair their ship and make an effort to rescue the survivors of Earth2 and bring them to Earth3.
Can they fix their ship? Can they save their fellow survivors from Earth2? Do they even want to? Will Will Smith ever get jiggy with Nicole? Will Rosie O'Donell stop farting ?
Find out when the Earth3 opens worldwide next summer.
My theme songs plays during the last part of the end credits after Will Smiths shitty rap song he wrote for the movie. He got an extra 650 thousand dollars for his song. I got some leftover stale donuts from the movie set that Rosie took some bites out of. http://www.afoclan.gamehosts.com/extra/ ... Earth3.mp3
You cant depend on a lot of things
You need a busload of faith to get by.
I can't read the words science and fiction in the same sentence without thinking of Darwinian Evolution. Here's the twisted scenario that popped into my head when I saw this month's theme.
In his most challenging role to date, Will Smith plays the world's very first living organism in this animated adventure about the origins of life. Holding the very fate of mankind in his, er, protoplasm, he defies the laws of nature, battles the elements and leads a rag tag team of amoebas (Bill Paxton, Jodie Foster, Martin Lawrence, Herve Villechaize) while inspiring them to be more than pondscum.
As the film comes to a close, the postlog reveals that Will's character only lived a few short minutes, but made more of an impact on this world than any of us could hope to make in 20 lifetimes. In typical Big Willie style, a feel good, self-serving, witty, pop-rap song begins to play as the closing credits roll.
Be Somebody
He's gonna be somebody
He's gonna be somebody
Fresh from the depths of the mud and the sand
The original beach boy is taking a stand
My potential, well it's hard to see
But a million years from now you'll see yourself in me
I'm gonna be somebody
I'm gonna be somebody
I've got less protein than a bean it's true
But even a simple little cell like me needs a crew
Just a few homeboys to stand by my side
Look out! Cause I'm about to divide
I'm gonna be somebody
I'm gonna be somebody
'Bout to break this down like dirt in a sieve
Cause I've only got a few more minutes to live
So put your groove on, what cha waitin' for?
Just get yo' cell out on the dance floor and
MOVE!
Now I know there's complex organisms who diss me
They say you gotta get a microscope or you'll miss me
I'm just a simple cell, smokin' the mic can this be
Another attempt at revisionist history?
Just keep your eyeballs and your acids fatty
Keep your kids bratty and keep your hair ratty
And then while you're out rollin' round in your caddy
Just tell me who's your daddy?
I'm gonna be somebody
I'm gonna be somebody
