Mono/Poly vs Sylenth1?

Is it only me or these synths are so close sound-wise? I really want to buy only one and so far MonoPoly is just as fat and "snappy" as Sylenth1 ! It is not as gritty and raw sounding as S1 or Zebra with two saw oscs with 4 voices each (it's close but not quite) but it's so damn good for those plucky aggressive uplifting trance midbasses I want, holy moly. And it's only 49$...
Please post your opinions about these two.

Yeah of course, I did a comparison, it's pretty close 1:1 to Sylenth1 ! Unfortunately I didn't save Sylenth1 version so here is only monopoly, but as I said, in these type of sounds they are so damn close! MP is way closer to Sylenth1 than Zebra.
This midbass consists of 4 layers.

click HD, completely different sound
Oh forgot to mention that there is also one polysix layer but its quite quiet and doesn't change much

Here's some sounds I did with Monopoly, which will be released sometime soon.
There's also the MS20-Polysix, and LegacyCell patches for the set as well.
The LegacyCell sounds are turning out better than the Monopoly ones imo.
I'll post some of the LC sounds soon to compare.

Don't like it, sorry, maybe I'm too young, for me it sounds like random sounds from 80s sci-fi movies... Quite boring. I don't think any contemporary genre can utilize those patches.
Second demo is more interesting though.

Well, maybe it sounds close to Sylenth, but the features are not nearly the same. Unison, 2nd filter, 4 envelopes, mod matrix, effects, arp, all not present in the MonoPoly.

Are you sure?chk071 wrote:Well, maybe it sounds close to Sylenth, but the features are not nearly the same. Unison, 2nd filter, 4 envelopes, mod matrix, effects, arp, all not present in the MonoPoly.
There are Unison (up to 16), mod matrix, effects and Arp in Mono/poly! Or do you mean something else?
I think it has just one filter but there are two slots for effects (they are about 10 or more including 4 band EQ). The Arp is limited though to only 4 modes.
IMO they have different character, but it would be very interesting to hear the Mono/Poly in modern genres
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I think MonoPoly has few presets, while Sylenth has lots of.

Well this set has plenty of modern type trance plucks, leads and good edm basses, but I have to use my sequencer to come up with those kinds of demo tracks, and I'm rather lazy when it comes to that.ssl4000 wrote:Don't like it, sorry, maybe I'm too young, for me it sounds like random sounds from 80s sci-fi movies... The GUIs are a bit small for my old eyes, but other than that they are indeed great.
