Dm24 sync

hi,
im having trouble trying to sync SX to the DM24. i had an extra sound card lying around, so i hooked that up into the machine. got a joystik to midi cable and hooked that up.... enabled send MTC in SX and sync to MTC on the DM24.

Whenever something plaz back... i get this error. :

MIDI RX Framing error (E201)
press enter to continue

followed by (when i stop playbak in SX)

MIDI active sensing has been discontinued. (i did not have that option on in the first place)

I have tried using the non emulated midi ports in SX.
