Hey.A while ago I brought a Tascam us-122 usb soundcard to run with my laptop doing live stuff. When I got it i got this skipping thing...sound clicks every now and then. I researched it on the web and found other people who had the same problem. I solved the problem by downloading the latest via usb drivers, and the messenger patch for windows...which fixed the problem completley.
Now I have brought a new desktop computer but I get the same problem. I tried to download the messenger patch for windows xp but I cant install it, because when i try it tells me that I already have service pack one installed.
I can't figure it out and I am in dire need of a fix by this saturday as I want to use the comp for a gig we have ... in fact the biggest gig of our carreer so far and I really don't want to take my old laptop as it has started to struggle with the amound of prosseccing we use these days.
Any Ideas? Perhaps the fact that i have the service pack already means its another problem
