tonedef71 wrote:EDIT: The process of right-clicking (or meta-clicking on OS X) the phrase to be ghost-enabled does shift selection from the currently selected phrase to the right-clicked one, so that will not work. So much for that idea.
Tony,
no, that is a good idea. It would work by selecting the original phrase and the ghost candidate(s) with the original phrase preceding the ghost(s). Then you could select 'Make Ghosts' in the inspector which turns all phrases into ghosts except for the first (in time) phrase.
Added to the to-do list ;)

Thanks,
Attila

PS: Right clicking on a selected phrase will not change the selection, only right clicking on an unselected phrase does

That sounds great! :)
Would we be able to unghost multiple selected phrases at a time as well?

Visual Anomaly: The VSTi "Edit Options" button looks to be in danger of being clipped out of view if the VSTi instrument name is too wide for the "Instrument:" drop-down:

Yes, that already works in the latest beta. The 'Unghost' button is next to the 'Select Original' button in the phrase inspector and it works for multiple phrases too.

This bug is also fixed in beta11 which was uploaded today, thank you for reporting it!

Excellent work!

Did you identify the cause of that other issue that occurs when re-saving a previously saved composition? I noticed that it happens after you have used CTRL-Z to undo a change, and then you click the "Save" button to re-save the composition: the "Save As..." behavior happens instead.

It is not a show-stopper by any means because the save still works -- it just requires more steps: re-typing the file name, clicking the save button to dismiss the file save dialog box, clicking the OK button to dismiss the overwrite confirmation message box, etc.

No, I haven't checked that, but I will shortly. It must be annoying.

Hmm...so many amazing news since I last checked this nice forum :D
It looks like our magician Attila is working round the clock
On the back of this I would strongly recommend to all my collegues/happy users of RC to make a pause in new requests/desires at least pro tempore
greetings to all,
T.

Hello T, Hope you are well.

From what I gather Attila loves getting the requests. It gives him more ideas how to make RC even greater. He has even asked in a couple of threads to keep them coming.

Not to mention job security. From what he see he has job security for the next 40 years :hihi:

Happy Musiking!

Surprised to hear (read) from you, Dennis, such comments :hihi:
I still believe that Attila is not allmighty god (though sometimes I doubt the truth of my last statement  ) and he has the right to relax a little too

Thank you, tolstoevsky. I sometimes cannot keep up with the many requests and questions on the forum, in e-mails and PMs. Now I realized it is the middle of February and the next major update is planned in March and I should already be working on it.
Not to mention that a few people have stability issues on OS X (especially with the VST plug-in on 10.6.8 ) which is being investigated and fixed, and this takes time too... I like getting requests, especially the ones that can be quickly added or improves the workflow. I try to keep everyone happy. :)

Thanks!

Dear Attila, it's really nice to be with such an aware person :)
AFAIC, I prefer mostly to ask you exactly for those "quick fixes" :D , though may be my "MIDI import saga" was a little bit more time consuming.
And I fully agree with you that now it would be more advisably in the coming weeks to keep your mind on next important update issues 8)
More power to your elbow,
T.

That's great, Atilla. Hopefully you can fix that problem with Digital Performer 8 on OS 10.6.8 we've exchanged emails about. <fingers crossed>
:P

Post

David, I am working on it even in this moment :)
I made some improvements (e.g. decreased the processor usage during playback) so yesterday DP8 playback worked for more than an hour.
You can expect an update in a day or two.
