Request for assistance, please chaps :)

I just got my daughter an MP3 player for her Birthday and we need something to rip her CDs to mp3.

Windows media player is out because the wmas it produces don't play right in her player, but here's the real rub.... her laptop is an old Pentium 233 running windows 98.

So.......

Any recommendations for an easy to use , light CPU load free CD ripper for win 98(SE) ? (preferrably spyware free ,too :? )

Thanks a bunch :)

Everyone has their favorites, I guess....mine is probably CDEx, which also has MP3 compression: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

that looks perfect. thanks Har :D

CDEx. is pretty good. But I've switched over to Exact Audio Copy. It has much better error checking and tends to run quite a bit faster on my system than CDEx.

I've tried many and, for me, EAC does the best job.
