Hi all,
I have released Sounds of the Quadra V2.
There is a new video on my website showing its new layouts.
There have been updates to the sequencer code and now it has a stop button which can be sent via midi.

Poly synth section has new resonance to make it more authentic sounding.

I received a lot of messages from existing users who suggested some ideas and I have spent the past week implementing them all.

As promised all existing owners of Version 1 will be sent the update to V2 for free-You get free updates for life when you buy a product from Synth Magic.

Sounds of the Quadra also has a great selection of presets kindly created by Synth patch creator kvr user Ingonator and they sound brilliant,thanks Ingo .
Ingo makes brilliant patches for the Blofeld synth check his sound banks out.
And Thanks to Steve at Hollow Sun check out Hollow Suns brilliant range of musical instruments.

I purchased version 1 yesterday, played 45 minutes with it so far and did like it, as is...
...Yet, less than 24 hours later, a version 2 already.....
That's what I'll call support !!

Hi glad you like the Quadra.
I am working on some great new products at the moment,some are going to be vst some kontakt.
Will send out a mail to everyone when they are completed.
Oh I'm also looking into making my site a member site so existing customers can visit,get free downloads,swap presets.
I need more hours in the day lol.Who decided 24 was enough?

Since this new thread is in the Samples section i almost missed it. Stupid me...

I had made 36 single presets (nki files) and 16 multi presets for the Quadra Kontakt instrument which Steve included in Version 2 now. All customers already received the update.
The Multi presets are based on the 16 original patch sheets of the ARP Quadra factory sounds which i found here:

All those presets were first made with version 1 and now reprogrammed with the new version 2 which took some time. Conversion of the multi presets was finished yesterday morning, the single presets at Tuesday.
I have just notified Steve that i got "some" more presets for him which i will send very soon, maybe already tomorrow morning or this night. At the end those will be around 75+ single presets (including the first 36) and the 16 multi presets from the ARP Quadra factory sounds.

Have fun with the updated Quadra Kontakt instrument and my presets.

PS:
I really like the ARP Analog synths, also based on my love for the songs of Genesis (especially until around 1984). Here are the ARP emulations i got so far:

- Synth Magic "Sounds of The Quadra"
- Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600
- Way Out Ware KikAxxe
- GForce Oddity
- AM ProSoloVST v2.0 (Pro Soloist emulation)
- Hollow Sun Solina String Ensemble samples
- Hollow Sun Omni samples
- Sonicprojects Stringer (Solina + Omni samples/emulation)

I hope that in the future i'll own a real ARP synth like e.g Axxe or an Odyssey.

Thanks, this instrument is a big fun for me.

Steve is also a very nice person to work with. I don't know how many emails and PMs we exchanged during the last days...
Based on the fact that i got the Quadra Kontakt instrument one week ago everything was working very fast.
I'll have an eye (or two) on all updates and future project of Synth Magic.

From tomorrow on i'll go back to finish my commercial soundbank for the Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V. I have already done a bunch of factory sounds for it during the betatest. This bank will also include one sample from my sounds for the Quadra instrument which is based on the "Abacab Fifth" preset for it.

My bank for the Blofeld is available since December. If interested you could check the link in my signature.

UPDATE:
i have finished the new presets now and sent a link to Steve.
The new update contains 80 single presets now which include the 36 old ones (already included in the Quadra instrument version 2). Since some old presets got a new variation with a new name the best for all customers should be to delete the old presets and only use the new update as soon as they received it.

Hi.Just bought the Quadra and i wonder if all of Ingos presets are included? IN the folder that carries Ingos name i only see 13 patches.

10-4 bluelight 13 Ingos patches is what I'm seeing. But there are about 150 total!

Three years! The Synth Magic Quadra is my favorite sampled synth to date. If you crave vintage vibe you need to check it out.

Hi Bluelight,
The presets you mention were designed for one of the very first versions of the Quadra hence this thread being 3 years old

In 3 years it has had numerous updates, been re-designed and re-scripted and had a new interface designed by Anders Hedstrom (Flavours of Lime).
The presets from the early versions are not compatible with the latest Quadra.
I'm working on a major update to the Quadra and once it is finished I will see if I can find any original preset overlays from the real Quadra and implement them as part of the new presets that will come with the update.
