OK I changed the title to reflect the fact that this bank is now available from my website here:

http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm#Mutant

The blurb says:

Mutant Bass represents the evolution of bass, resulting from the fusion of basses with drones and soundscapes. In this bank of 64 new patches for GlitchMachine's granular sampler/synth, Polygon, you will find deep sustained industrial bass-scapes, throbbing bass-drones, and growling evolved wobbles. These are basses from hell; evil, industrial, complex and dark. All patches use the sample library Polygon ships with.

So if you're looking for "bread-and-butter" basses, don't buy this ;)

Sunday bump - if you don't have Polygon it's worth checking out

Just got this sound bank, and for anyone who appreciates the unique sound of Polygon this is a no-brainer. aMUSEd has started where the factory patches leave off, exploring further sonic territory and discovering some wonderful combinations….

Thanks for the feedback, "discovery" is very apt, I make no claims to be a great sound designer, in fact I really play down the "design" aspect altogether. Most of my banks are based on discovering sounds while exploring a synth's possibilities and making music and experimenting rather than consciously aiming to create a particular sound (although I do not like to use randomisers - I prefer a more focussed exploratory process using Kore to generate ideas). That's why some of my banks take a couple of years to be finished (or never are like my ongoing XILS3 and Diva banks)

Polygon lends itself very much to that sort of experimental try it and see approach as it's very easy to build up layers and see how they work together.

For some reason I'm having trouble listening to your demo tracks at work, past the first couple of them (which intrigue me). I'll check them out when I get home.

I kind of dismissed Polygon based on the kind of forbidding UI screenshot, but it seems like it might be right up my alley.

They are just using Dropbox - maybe it's blocked at your work?

Actually the UI workflow is really logical

Thanks for the update, Stephen!
the samples now show up in the Polygon UI... previous batch of presets DID load just fine, but the samples showed "sample could not be found" message on each of the four windows... whatever you did resolved that so again- thanks very much! These are very inspiring sounds :tu:

Cheers, glad you like them - you can thank Glitchmachine's excellent support for helping me out on a Sunday evening - Polygon is great but there are still some rough edges in the first release which hopefully they will resolve soon - I ran into one of them.

Another strong recommendation for this set of presets, I've really been enjoying exploring them, "Grinder" is one of my new favorites. Goes nicely with your presets for Fracture as well!

Thankyou very much, glad you are enjoying them. I like Grinder too :)

tbh I have not tried them with my Fracture presets yet, I made most of those while playing piano through them
