Hi!

I am on the verge of a deal for buying this host through a member here named "quincy" (a friend of mine pointed it toward me) and i was wondering, what is the future for this host? I know i could probably ask this in the official forum as soon as i get my money over to the dude im buying it from, but im anxious, and paypal is taking a bit of time to register with them...

thank you and hello to kvr!

I thought Imageline didn't allow the license transfer though? If they do, I'd like to know to at least update my brain databanks on who allows transfers or not. :D

Look at it this way (if they allow the transfer)
audio recording came along, new piano roll features, sytrus, slayer for free etc etc etc....

The future will be very bleak for you if you buy into that my friend, in the end you won't be saving! You'll not be entitled to any future updates whatsoever! You would be better off buying online direct. That way you will get the Lifetime free update offer for free (usually $30 if you purchase a boxed version).

err, the dude that led me here said Kvr was a nice place :help:

lol

perhaps i will contact imageline support, but let me direct you to the thread my friend saw and directed me to:

I was posting to just the host host side. Yeah if they don't give you lifetime free updates from a transfer of a license, BUY IT YOURSELF online from them.

Yeah I would definately talk to them first - one of coolest things about FL Studio is all the new stuff that gets added frequently. Version 5.0 will have a lot of cool things in it that you will want.

You'll kick yourself for not just buying it from them in the long run if they dont give you the license.

Beta testing isn't nearly as exciting as you would think, trust me. Incomplete products, bug hunting, trying to reproduce errors, synths that don't have any presets whatsoever, etc etc etc. Unless you really enjoy technical trouble shooting and problem solving, like I do, which is what you do a LOT more than writing music, then you might not like it all that much.
