I've been looking at the specs for Live 4, and I must say I'm getting somewhat excited. You see, it seems that they've implemented MIDI input and output, so now you can use your hardware synths, Audio Unit instruments (for OSXers) and VSTis. It has a Muzynth-style sampler. It has Muzys-style pattern sequencer. Hmmm.... could be what I'm looking for!

Actually, while I'd really like to get Live 4 (as it seems to now do all that muzys did plus far more), it's just waaaaay above my budget. For me, EnergyXT and Podium seem to be two very very interesting host apps (and far more reasonable in terms of price too).

If PC is your poison, I think EXT is the coolest way to go regardless of the Big Guys!... It's just... Cool! But for Mac users, not only is Live very intrigueing, but it (like Reason) is very cpu friendly, which on the Mac side is a bigger issue than on the PC side! and that is one of Reason's best features...

That's been mentioned on other threads. Great for Live users... a real kick in the balls for Muzys users or should I say "ex" users) & supporters.CreepJoint wrote:hehe, thats what Ive been thinking too :roll:Adam_V wrote:Maybe that's where Jo went!
