Hi,

This is my use case...
I want my daw to use asio.
I want my music player to use asio too. Or wasapi, or whatever sounds best (I have a good amp and speaker set).
And of course I like listening to say youtube without having to switch off any of the two sources above.
Right now I have two soundcards piped to a mixer. One does asio4all (io2), the other one does the music player/general sound like youtube. My other card is a musicstreamer II, which doesn't have native asio drivers either. It's not an ideal setup.

I hear that there are multiclient asio interfaces. For example, TC electronics Destop Konnekt 6. But I cannot figure out if it'll work with the small 4 pin firewire port on my computer.

Buying interfaces seem to be quite risky. Do the win7 64 drivers work well? What about latency? etc.

So TL; DR: Getting a multiclient asio interface. Recommendations?

NI Ak1, and I assume komplete 6, are multi-client. Its one of the things I love about it, I can have a daw open using asio while the rest of the system uses the standard WME or directx so I can have videos playing while using my daw

However while it works fine for me there are those with issues of crackling and noise, so it could be hit or miss

All the NI interfaces past and present are multiclient.
