Why not download the demo and try it out for yourself :)

I really like this amp! I'm not primarily into the "heavy metal" that this amp calls for - but it has it's uses.

I have a question - I record mono guitar files (into SONAR) but play them on stereo tracks, so I can use stereo FX. Is there any advantage to running the X50 in stereo? I notice it's a lot louder - but I'm not sure I can do anything like, say, s-gear where you can run a different IR in the Left and Right channels.

PS - I've tried a few redwirez cab impulses with X50 - and they sound great!

will this suite be expanded with other amps/stomps? like, say, X30 or X40?
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Post

I suggested that to John some weeks ago. Would be great to have R47 swappable with TS808, too.

He didn't exclude the possibility of doing that, but it won't happen any time soon.

The new X50 is made for later expansions in mind, both stomps, amps and rack.
I can't say when it will expand, but it will ! The license gives the existing X50 owners free updates up to version 2.5, If the concept should change in the meantime there will be a highly discounted or even free crossgrade (most likely) for existing X50 customers.

Ok, i demand a clean "clean channel" ;) and a rack flanger (stereo) :) within the 2.5 limit ;)

Post

A general modulation effect would be better (switchable between chorus/flanger/phaser/rotary), perhaps?

This could really benefit from a modeled Crybaby
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

I think we should just use our own vst FX for chorus/flanger/delay etc etc.
Amp sims should concentrate on being good amp sims (and speaker emulators).

It's easier to just freeze or bounce down a bunch of guitar tracks (if the CPU load gets too high) and then just add vst FX. I like the line6 idea of separating out all the stomp boxes etc rather than integrating them in the amp sim.

Yes, but this is a SUITE, not just an amp and a cab plugin.

Post

OK - then my request would be that we can separate out the stomp boxes etc ;-)

You already have them as separate plugins (the stomps). :P

That's true! ;-)
I was wondering if the "new improved" TS stompbox will be available as a seperate plugin?

Anyway - you're right - I'm happy with it - just like it is... ;-)

I have no plans on making a separate tse808 for the current version,
I will reintroduce the DIY config later this year for the users of the suite version.
