Hi to all!
This time we want to support a very nice project which could possibly be revolution for musicians and composers all over the world.

Mogees is an innovative new way for everyone to let their musical imagination run wild, transforming the objects around us into unique and powerful musical instruments.Mogees consists of a mobile app and a small sensor that detects and analyses the vibrations that we make when we interact with the objects around us. It uses a special sound technique to alter their acoustic properties so as to make them musical. Above all, it's about everyone making beautiful music out of ordinary objects. Just plug it in and play the world.

Bruno Zamborlin video was very popular at the time. In these years he has developed an unique application for IOS and Android, to let musicians, composers and music enthusiasts to play music everywhere on all kind of objects.

I'm directly in contact with him and I asked if it will support MIDI and/or OSC. Mogees will feature a complete IO communication via OSC, so we'll able to control our favourite plugins and instruments. No more need for fancy controllers, percussion pads, etc..!

To help the Mogees to become a reality visit the Kickstarter page here:

This is an unique opportunity to get Mogees at an unique discounted price!

This seems similar to Impaktor on iOS.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Post

Impaktor works by analizing the input of the mic of the phone and it just translate the peaks to the velocity parameter of a included synth.

This is impossible with Impaktor:

Seems like a great idea, but personally I'm reluctant to put the currency in without seeing what's possible with the synth engine. Judging from the videos, just doesn't sound controllable enough to have that feeling of subtlety + tightness, just twinkly-sound...-ish, ala Sculpture et al. factory presets.
For my tastes, one can get MUCH more interesting and usable and dynamic sounds just from samples from the objects played in all these clips.

I'm very eager to see them prove me wrong!
Brzzzzzzt.

Impaktor analyses both velocity and the timbres of the incoming audio, but it's limited to what can be done with the mics on your idevices.

This looks really cool (and fun), I hope it takes of. Also seems like a tool to really jump start your creativity/inspiration. :)
