So, I read in this article that Bandcamp is not available to people in places like Germany, etc....
If you live outside the US, please see if you can go to the above link. Post below.
I don't get any credit for pageviews, or anything, but if this site is inaccessible to some countries I may have to rethink promotion strategies.
Thanks for your help.

Works for me in Australia - never been blocked by bandcamp before.
Is this something to do with GEMA? (the German publishing group?)

I never had any problem with bandcamp from here, neither streaming nor buying music. GEMA would only be a problem if the musicians publishing there were members of the GEMA and officially publishing in Germany, I think. Don't think that's the case with most bandcamp artists.

I think Au is okay. I read Germany and a few other countries. Not sure about Britain or rest of EU.

Bandcamp has never been unavailable to me in the UK, any time Ive ever used it. Which, whilst rare, goes back a fair bit I think.

Being German, I can load this page and listen to the content.osiris wrote:I think Au is okay. I read Germany and a few other countries. Not sure about Britain or rest of EU.
Nice track btw. Though vocals are a tad too loud and too "distorted" (that is clearly a slight distortion on the voice) for my taste.
BANDCAMP has no issues with the GEMA. Only YT is known to have disputes.
Furthermore - the GEMA is way more complicated than "be a member, then your stuff is getting blocked if not cleared".

Maybe this is an ISP related block, and not a non-specific region lock due to collecting societies?
