Highly recommended! On a sound per sound basis it's better any variation on m-tron pro, and much better than sampletron (shame on IK for no 64 bit).

+1 And also very easy to stack sounds in play them all in the same channel for some fat vintage sounds

I did not like installing the ilok manager just for the mellotron. I uninstalled it after I tried it.

I actually found the new ilok manager "soft-dongle" to be surprisingly painless and much better than my experience with elicensor. eLicensor is currently the only CP that is a deal breaker for me on any software I might want.

Not really fond of either of those licensing schemes. Finally got the "soft dongle" to work though, after a bunch of hiccups.

Got it just in case and as it was free. Installed it in virtual machine to test it out. Sounds nice but I doubt anyone could tell the difference between M-Tron and Mello in a mix. M-Tron is much more complete and versatile instrument and GForce is a good company.

As some others have said, even for free the iLok license manager is a deal breaker.
