i haven't published correspondences between models and machines to avoid offering my product as something that replaces roland gear.

on guis i only really think utility and simplicity. the model selectors function the same as vertical knobs, i see it as the simplest way to implement them apart from inc/dec buttons, i prefer dragging rather than clicking through lists. i know if the list only has a few entries dragging is exaggerated.

i add some level of refinement to guis, some very light shading et c. (the bong panels are shaded but i think it's <= 10% opacity) but yeah my style is minimal. i don't like to engage thoughts like "how can i make people like something through style". my guis are pretty boring. :)

i like your guis really, functionally there are fine.i just think if they were a little bigger, allowing little extra details, they could be simple yet striking.i only care about your sales, you know that.
a quality gui to match quality sound is all i'm saying.it deserves it.
it just seems a little small in todays standards, mine are too,i'm from the days when you should always be able to see a single pixel like a nice square.so i'm happy with mine.
but my stuff pales in comparison to yours,i don't expect to sell a lot,but yours should be selling by the ton.

nice to say but it's not true - our methods are suited to the scope of ideas we implement, your plugs are some of the more.. culturally objective in the industry.

i'm still using a 1024 x 600 netbook, i can't use the rimshot because it goes off the screen :)

I posted some links over on GS where they're talking ad nauseum about the Roland Aira TR-8. Modeled TR drum sounds and a lame sequencer for $500?! Bong! $25 and you already own a good sequencer! Done and done.

One question... is there a list somewhere as to what the different models are inspired by? Just curious.
I am glad you like it. Btw I am not quite sure if it has been mentioned in this thread already but if you wanna have nonstatic sounds you have to turn the VARY knob all the way to the right. If used in default mode (all the way left) then it is in static mode and sounds like a sample. If you use all available VARY sources adjust the SEED knob to different values on each instrument so the used noise differs.

Altighty then....

This is what happens when two virtual instruments meet and jam together.
Me as the conductor, Microtoniq as the driver (rhythm generator) and BONG as the singer/player (preset sound - custom mapped so the auto generated sound would not generate unwanted random parameters - eg. output volume). rhythms/preset sounds were randomly generated so I won't be able to EVER recreate them (maybe Rurik can).

I want to take to opportunity and thank Fredrik Lindström from Sonic Charge, to whom I owe the custom programmed script that I call "FLAM suppressor" and made it possible for me to bypass flam in MT generated beats (you WILL hear them, mind you... but I turn them flams off right after - well, on most beats).

Enjoy the show, kids... EVERYRHING here (6 minutes that could EASILY extend to 6 HOURS) is BONG :D

Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

why is one plugin glorified and another ignored? i'm telling you, the music industry, it's all masons. we can't have people hearing just anything.

Free New Kit available. For those who like some pumping 90s House. I hope you like it. Comes with Congas & Percussion too but forgot to put it into the demo. Rimshot can be played chromatically (in a quirky way via velocity).
