I also heard a rumour the earth is flat tooMaF wrote:I am surprised by the number of Studio One users so far since it is said to have the worst CPU performance. Or is this only on Mac?
Why not try the free version and establish some facts
Studio One for me also.
If I didn't use that, it would be Samplitude.
Why no 'Catwig' in the poll ?

Who said there are many "professionals" here?Delfinoverde wrote:Only 17 votes / 7% for LOGIC?![]()
That surprises me somehow. But yes, maybe people on kvr aren't that much "professionals". Please don't take my opinion as offense, but I seriously doubt that any advanced Audio Engineer would ever use energyXT, Tracktion, ntrack and similar things.![]()
Vast majority are "bedroom producers" over here, if you'd ask me

It's Mac only, so... The fact that Digital Performer wasn't even mentioned before surprises me more, TBH.killmaster wrote:Surprised to see Logic X so low. Really love the new version so much...

As much as I like Studio One, those numbers seem off by a large margin.

Yep, another poll at KVR done by someone with no clue.fmr wrote:It's Mac only, so... The fact that Digital Performer wasn't even mentioned before surprises me more, TBH.killmaster wrote:Surprised to see Logic X so low. Really love the new version so much...
Buzz, Caustic, Mixcraft, Nanostudio, Mixman, Zynawave Podium, Mu-Lab etc. but no Garageband or Digital Performer…. yeah the numbers are really gonna reflect actual users for sure. I'm surprised the OP didn't include Bitwig? since the last poll of this type here did, and again didn't include DP… you know a DAW with a 30 year history and an obviously established user base?

Well, although no doubt like some others around here I don't consider myself to be tied to either OS, and in fact still have a desktop DAW running Windows, lately I've been mostly using Logic on a Powerbook Pro. And frankly it doesn't bother me that there aren't too many like me. And what about other DAWs like Sonar which once had a significantly larger following around here?
Now, if I was a dev looking to reach that part of the market which makes music on Apple devices, well, then, yeah, such things maybe would have a greater significance. But I'm sure most of those folks have better methods to establish which places are best suited for their promotional activities...
