Trap Music. Love it or Hate it?

So, what are the folks at KVR's thoughts on Trap music? Love it? Hate it? When I first heard of it, I wasn't particularly moved either way, but a lot of my friends listen to it and it really grew on me (kind of like country, where I personally HATED it until an ex-girlfriend converted me). Many of the songs in Trap combine what I like from regular Hip Hop and what I like from dubstep into one tune. Any dubstep fans out there getting into Trap as of late? To me, it's a reaction to the constant "RAH! RAH! RAH!" basslines of "Brostep", and I LOVE the wild, crazy leads that sometimes pop up. Sometimes it's like doing intricate dubstep bass stuff, but with lead sounds instead, with deep subs underneath that are meant to be felt more than heard. With some trap, there is a tendency toward the abstract and trying to be "different" from the rest. Of course, I'm not talking about the "EDM Trap" out there that simply incorporates existing dance sounds into it.
For those unfamiliar with Trap, here are some mixes I've been chilling to as of late:

it's a great concept. i'd never actually listen but consider it an intelligent response to cultural conditions.
i'd like to find the mix on youtube with the black and white shot of a girl with large round breasts laying on her side. it was the kind of introduction i'd like to give others to the concept.

you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Cynical old bastard here.
It's just another vehicle used by the recording industry to re-package average vocal talent to sell to kids who think they're being cool for not listening to the other type of popular music.
Peace,
Andy.

per dune:
both those songs:
the first one says it all "dumb dumb dumb"
the second, clearly the artists realized how extremely canned and similar it is to everyone else's rubbish that they had to remind you who you are listening at the beginning.

This means nothing, there are good tracks when the artist reminds you who you are listening,
for example this is a NETSKY track, listen at 1:10
Or this is a GOLDIE track, right at the beginning:
Of course you can say these are shit tracks - everyone has his own favorite.
I just want to say, when they "remind" you , that doesn't make it a bad song.

Whoah lol. Looks like not many fans of it here. That's interesting because I see so much Trap-related sample packs and soundware out there, plus so many people I know are into it. I've been hearing it a lot in the clubs. To each their own, I suppose. Then again, I'm apparently pretty liberal in musical taste. I love noise ambient and extreme avant-garde stuff as well , which most folks probably wouln't even consider music.
