Hi,
I use Logic Audio Platinum 5.5.1 on a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop (1.9 ghz, 512 mb ram, 40 gb hd, MOTU 828) and have been having problems for a while loading up sounds from Sonic Synth. Most of the time, whenever I try loading a sound, Logic freezes up while trying to load the sound. This is very irritating, as I love the sounds in Sonic Synth and use them in every song I write! Whenever I do get Sonic Synth to load up, I have to keep the song open until I'm finished with it, since if I close the song, I'm unable to load it back up again due to the sounds having to be loaded up again.
I'm thinking about upgrading my computer's CPU to ~ 2.5 ghz and a gb of ram. Would this possibly help the situation? If not, are there any suggestions that anyone has?
Thanks,
Ian Scott

I have no idea why that is. You should contact IK tech support to see if there is anything known about this. You had it working fine previously? What did you change that made it act this way? 5.5 update? Are you running the SampleTank 1 LE? One thing you could do is pick up a Sonik Capsule that comes with SampleTank 2 LE and try that for cheap (plus you'll get some stellar new sounds) or you could upgrade to Sonik Synth 2 for even more sounds. I am not saying that this should be necessary but it could be a good option for a variety of benefits. It might even save you some time and hassle while providing you with cool new added material.
