Delay plug market is kinda crowded, is there need for more when there is also so much freeware already available like from TAL?: http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2011/02 ... t-plugins/
I agree that delay plugins market is kinda crowded, but PrimalTap has a very particular character, different from things like TAL Delays or Waves H-Delay, so in my opinion it makes sense.

Another cool use of PrimalTap is inserting it on drums fully wet with delay time set to zero and then crank the input and play with the multiply setting. I can't describe the result with words, but it reminds me of old electronic dance records, made with old lo-fi hardware samplers... it just sounds right to me!

No Sync then... ok - it will still be used due to the fantastic sound, none of my other delays have that

Pity its crashing Live tho as id love to play around a bit more with it :(

Its crashing FL Studio & Studio One on closing the programs.

Have problem with it on OSX Mavericks 10.9.2, host Reaper 4.602 64-bit.

When i load Little PrimalTap on channel in host i can't use any Reaper's control functions in plugin window: i can't bypass it, can't select In/Out and etc. With any other plugins everything is fine!

At this screenshot i mark Reaper's function bar that doesn't work:

Ew, I don't like the sound of that!

I was cranking the feedback on this and thought 'sounds like AD Ratshack', so loaded Ratshack for comparison and.....no, it doesn't :hihi:
It can do similar tricks, but they can live together in my components folder.

Installed, played some time with it.. uninstalled... I have no usage for it

I agree with you. Actually I like this kind of delay plugins, but there are other free delay plugins which are better in my opinion and which can do more.

There are other delays but this one has a certain character and behaviour that others don't have I'm modulating it in Ableton Live with a a MAX for live plugin EXT 2.

It's reaction to the knobs is something you don't get from echoboy. With the input saturation and sample rate reduction it's great for bass delay.

I said it in the main thread before somebody took exception to my criticism of the nature of the promotion and told me to shut my entitled mouth ( ), but my general feeling is that this is a good teaser but it's really going to come into its own when the full version is released. Right NOW, the only thing this does that other delays I have don't do is offer a unique character to the delay itself, but it's feature light. As they'll surely (and, if history repeats, imaginatively) fill out the features with the later upgrade version, I anticipate picking it up.

I don't like that putting PACE software back on my system seem to have increased DPC latency. I very much don't like that. If anything stops me from using it, that'll be it, not the sound, and not even the tacky nature of the promotion, which is plagued by the sort of misleading motivational material that MLM schemes employ; the potential to win is poorly understood by those participating, it's not even lottery odds, but still people will turn themselves into billboards for it and that's on either Soundtoys or the ad agency that suggested this as the way to go... and THEN Soundtoys for saying yes. Citizen-soldiers for the cause of promoting the company, all for a "free" software that is itself a promotional product for an eventual commercial one. Not the sort of freeware you get out of the community, that's fer sure, but then again I'm just entitled, right? :hihi:

But that's kind of the whole point innit?

For those who got crash troubles in FL Studio, do you use the 32 bit or 64 bit version of the plug?
