Same here. Undeniably retro, but would sound good out live. Imagine the monitors Liam would have, and then imagine how this would sound on them... :-o

hey i hey i loved it!

v cute and v different from previous Prodigy stuff (particularly the psuedo 'punk' phase)..sure there's a bit of top end missing etc..its not a great rip..but that Girls tune will be a hit for sure..its a neat little hook..and y very reminiscent of Tom Tom Club etc (which cannot be a bad thing, screw Electroclash or whatever dumb label is being used)

BTW anyone who thinks FL sounds any better or worse than Reason (or anything else for that matter) is *seriously* deluded..

this track is a pretty good representation for any app it was created in..judging by the music i often hear linked from this forum, most people are pretty deaf anyway.

btw the lead line sounds a little dischordant..SO f what?! thats cool too

Im the opposite...I usually tend to not like electroclash at all......but this is cool...fun and catchy :)
Not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good

Listening to it a couple of times it's actually grows on me. First listen was like "Oi! Watta f**k has he done?!" Now I'm totally looking forward to the album...

...and really, who cares if if he uses Reason or not. I use reason and I don't rock this hard (well sometimes... :D)

I think this track is phat, just like ya'lls mommas. 8)

Amazing... I guess there's some hidden artistic meaning in that video... I mean... what the hell are the girls doing in a video for firestarter?

Wow, is that really Gene Simmons?
I just kept thinking 'Ron Jeremy'.
Talk about T & A!

Is this Zapp?
Fairly typical rock hard beats and evil bass from the Prodge, but that little vibrato lead line is making me piss myself :hihi:
Just needs Roger Troutman vox-boxing over it to make it complete.

Well i liked it, it sounds very retro, id like to here some of the mixes that come out.

Obviously some of you just dont 'get it' but i think alot of people will.
" He's not the mesiah, he's a very naughty boy!"

Now I feel like a failure.

I wish I "got it". What a fool I am. :(

Wow - tough crowd!

I think it sounds great :) I like the fact that Liam's not just churning out the same old stuff. Sure, it's got his production style, but it doesn't sound like anything off any of the other albums.

Different strokes I guess. I can't wait for the album :)

Post

I like it.

It's more like 'Funky Shit' or something off 'Experience' - which is good. I think after two albums of being all dark and serious and tough, he needed to lighten up a bit.

He's still caning the 909 crash cymbal though!
