eMail from "Music Software News"

So... I have two "main" eMail accounts.

One has been my personal eMail for ... what seems like forever, and sometime around 2010 I created another eMail address to use only for music and production related stuff. Accounts, licences, registrations, etc.

Today I found an eMail from the sender "Music Software News" in the inboxes of BOTH accounts.
Sent by info@musicsoftware.com.
Informing me about "the BKE team" and "the BTVSolo site", both of which I've never heard of.
The eMail contained no unsubscribe buttons or links, it also didn't contain any hints as to who sent it or why they did.

Opening the URL http://www.musicsoftware.com takes me to Sheet Music Plus, a site where I never was before and have never registered with any of my eMail addresses, as the "retrieve password" function confirmed.

Should you have received the same spam eMail, please read on.
It would be interesting to see if there are people "out there" who can relate to this.

Both my eMail addresses are registered to my PayPal account, so if I buy something for personal use (games, shoes, etc) I switch PP to the personal eMail first, and when I purchase something music or production related, I switch PP to the audio related eMail address first. When I buy something, PP only sends the sellers the eMail address they should know of.

In other words: there's no way they might have gotten mixed up during some purchase.

We all know that PayPal can be considered crooks for the ridiculous amount of money they charge, and for their loads of empty promises, but my PayPal account also "knows" a third and fourth eMail address, both of which have not received this "Music Software News" eMail.

Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube... they all only know one or the other, or a third GMail address I was forced to create and therefore never use. But none of these services know both.

Apart from that, there are only five music-related companies that, over the years, knew both my eMail addresses.

I started my Native Instruments account with the personal eMail and later changed it to the music related one, and have never since received an eMail from NI to my personal, non music related eMail address.

I started my IK Multimedia account with the personal eMail, later changed it to the music related one, and have never since received an eMail from IK to my personal, non music related eMail address.

I started my Image-Line account with the personal eMail, later changed it to the music related one, and since selling my IL account (which includes yet another eMail change to the new owner's address) I have not received a single notification from IL to either address.

So I guess it's safe to assume that the former (PP, NI, IK, IL) are not involved.

I have two user accounts at Solid State Logic, one with the personal and one with the music related eMail. Whenever they send a newsletter, I receive it to both eMail addresses. Makes sense.

I registered an account at SoundToys many years back, using my personal eMail, and I later changed it to the music related eMail. I have never purchased from them, only ever added their Freebies over the years. SoundToys also send me newsletters to BOTH eMail addresses every now and then, seems their system didn't remove my old eMail address when I updated it in my profile, but it just added the new one to their "let's send stuff there" list.

So in other words... I received identical SPAM eMails to two completely unrelated eMail addresses. The only companies that know both these eMail addresses and have repeatedly used them over the last years are SSL and SoundToys. (Both recently sent me eMails to both my accounts)

Apart from them, no other audio related company knows both of my eMail addresses.
Some audio companies might still have my old and now personal eMail address, most audio companies know my newer and exclusively audio related eMail address.
But none of them have both.

Now... I'm somewhat curious to see if anyone else might have had a similar experience?
