Sure!
Does Bitwig have the equivalent of the Key/Midi assign like in Live?
Haven't found Keymapping. Midi assign is awesome! Plus if you're good at Javascript, you can make ANY controller do amazing things. My NanoKontrol 2 is resurrected from a cardboard box. But unlike Live, Bitwig has no 'pickup' mode, so you always get parameter jumps with anything. Bummer!

Also, Live has the A/B crossfader... does Bitwig have this feature?
Nope.
I know Bitwig has the bounce in place, but is that like Live's Freeze that can be unfrozen?
Haven't found freeze. But it has Bounce in Place as well as Bounce (which errr bounces it to a new track.
Does Bitwig have tap tempo?
Nope.

How is Bitwig for Midi import? Does it handle multiple tracks correctly? Is there a user option to use/ignore tempo data?

How does Bitwig handle tempo and time signature changes?
Tempo automation is possible. Time signature changes is something i couldn't find.
The manual isn't that helpful (extremely basic imo).

Thank you.

NO WAY TO TAP TEMPO AT ALL!? THAT IS BAD.

Oh, what's the word on input quantize?

I am curious about the included synthesizer, judging from the screenshot it got all important controls, but no idea what it sounds like, compared to common synth VSTi's.

You mean record quantization or clip launch quantization?

Record quantize, please. Is it in there?

Ugly demo in musical terms, but the synth as such seems pretty capable technically speaking :) But it is hard to judge the sound quality (filter, aliasing, 0df, etc.). Well, we'll see, or hear rather

AFAIK, nope, but you can edit the living crap out of the notes afterwards. Histograms baby….one of those magical things inside Bitwig. You can also use those on automation….. :D

 No tap tempo or input quantize. Bad news for those of us who like to play instead of always program.

Thank you 33

The Synths sound really good, all of them…at least to my ears.
The FX inside Bitwig are also really good quality….

Ok, ok, i'll stop!!!!

Off to sleep….

I GOOD YOU BID EVENING!!!!

Don't despair! The fact that i haven't found it doesn't mean that it isn't in there somewhere. I'm still getting used to the interface and how it all works.

If it isn't in there, then just ask the Bitwig guys and gal when it's released. Small companies tend to listen more to their user base than big industry behemoths imo.

Gotcha. It's just that with all the testers in here nobody seems to have found it so at this point chances are looking a bit slim. But also I guess most could have just missed where I asked about the stuff before.

I will definitely be visiting the bitwig forum with whatever issues I have down the road. They seem very responsive and have been participating in this thread from time to time, acknowledging missing stuff and sharing plans. I am willing to accept lots of missing stuff because they seem to be very receptive and proactive. Much more so than ableton at least.

I think I'll pass verision.1 and wait 4 years for 2.0. Seems there are many fancy looking features but at the same time lacking many basic features...
