The synths are much different sounding. The have a rounder softer more anti-aliased sound, which is good for many types of sounds but you also lose out on the bite and attack you can get with something like operator.Ogopogo wrote:Polysynth is much less static and computer sounding than Live's Analog.

Yeah, I'm not a big soft synth user but I think I hear it on FM-4. Darker, less digital. Which is kind of a bummer cause I liked the digitalness of operator.Echoes in the Attic wrote:The synths are much different sounding. No, midi controlled fx and devices that send midi are much more useable since you don't need separate tracks for these! This is one of the coolest things about Bitwig.barryfell wrote:So, no MIDI routing means plugins like iZotope Stutter Edit are unusable?
You could have for example Thesys loaded, then a synth and then stutter edit. All on the same track. And midi would go to all of them. You can limit the keyrange of each so for example put the midi sequence triggers at the very low end and the stutter edit key range at the very top.

Small update:
After a quick check, My 32 bit plugins are working properly without bridging.
Catanya is also working without bridging. Its also nice that you can have Catanya on the same track that as your instrument. just load and play, no routing to another track.

Yeah, that is cool not to need separate tracks... just for things like Geist which can output to multiple synths/tracks you have a problem.Echoes in the Attic wrote:No, midi controlled fx and devices that send midi are much more useable since you don't need separate tracks for these!
