I talked to Joe shortly after he'd put that up- he says it's one of his favorite guitars...

it's not a terrible guitar Eric that's for sure, I dont care for the neck contour but that's no big deal because I just adapt :)

btw later if I remember I will send you a message about what the FB post was about :tu:

Wow that is one cool axe. Never heard of it before till this. Did some youtube checking. Way cool.

Re Hello Kitty guitar.
If you enjoy what you have then the rest is inconsequential. When I had irl guitar buddies we'd share guitars. One time this buddy of mine show s up with a National resonator. I couldn't pull anything good out of it but my buddy was carving all sorts of great country blues stuff from it.

In other news....
I just bought a Yamaha THR10 C on ebay.

The THR10X is killer. We sell them to a lot of metal players for warming up backstage.

remember Mike the hello kitty I bought for my daughter when she was 11 or 12, she doesn't play yet

today's guitar, Jackson Kelly (though most of you have seen all my guitars many times)

Floyd Rose, Duncan MT Blackout in the bridge and an EMG 85 in the neck. Awesome sounding and playing guitar but it's not really well suited for recording because I sit at my desk with the guitar in my lap for sometimes hours and this thing is like an aircraft carrier...still love it though :)

They are very active around RF sources  Those old single coils are the literal definition of pickups ... they pick up everything that outputs any electrical noise.

It's again a cultural thing. I just can't play metal. (Okay occasionally I'll try to copy some j-pop metal esque stuff)
I read some bad reports on the original thr 10 I know they fixed many of the problems in the current version but I still was concerned.

I'm more about jazz, blues, and classic rock in that order. The 10c has a better version of a deluxe. It doesn't break up as quickly or as much then the original 10. That is probably the amp model I'll be playing the most followed by the acoustic, everything else follows after.

It's still nice to see em again.

Re heavy guitars. My Z6 is unbearable after a few minutes standing with. Sitting my leg always falls asleep so I'll often rest the body on a second chair

Speaking of Guitars to make fun of....

I know it's not really a guitar but Casio seemed to think so.
Behold, my Digital Guitar,,,, DG20

I accidentally cut two of the strings so I replayed them with nylon ones which do the job.

The action is high and there is no way to do a neck adjustment or adjust the spring bridge. The strings are extremely lax.

The internal amp/speaker is quite loud.

I think I'm going to wait for a sunny day before I take more guitar pics.

My Strat plus is gunked beyond belief. The volume knob was lost prolly 10 years ago. I've always thought about getting a new one but never followed through. It's got some "mojo" relicing, not to mention. I used to put all my hex pickups on it. (GK2. 2a, 3, yamaha and axis. the wire from the pickup to the box would always pop up away from the body and I'd glue it down with adhesive. I had to put some double stick pads to hold down the box and various adhesives for the pickups. That "stuff" is not coming off. I've put some serious scrapes on the body trying to pull it off.
