Hey gang,

I'm looking for an iOs drum machine that offers the following:

- dedicated mixer, with one channel strip per drum part
- high and low freq EQ per part
- 3 or 4 aux sends to built-in fx or:
- individual output for each strip/part, allowing for separate fx added via Audiobus 2
- recording/automation of parameter changes

If this doesn't exist yet, I hope a developer will read this post!

I know you're looking for an IOS app, but take a look at this one on Android. It offers everything you're looking for, and much more, of course except the Audiobus support. As far as I know, there's nothing comparable on IOS so far.

Thanks, but I'm really looking for a drum machine solution, not an all-in-one-studio app.

I'm sure you've already figured out that DM1 gets you part way there.

- dedicated mixer, with one channel strip per drum part CHECK.

- high and low freq EQ per part. NOPE. Just level, pitch, length, pan on channel strips

- 3 or 4 aux sends to built-in fx or: ALMOST. 2 FX sends

- individual output for each strip/part, allowing for separate fx added via Audiobus 2. NOPE, although you can export each strip/part separately and obviously bring the audio into a DAW

- recording/automation of parameter changes. DEPENDS on what you're looking for. You can automate everything on the strip (level, pitch, length, pan) within DM1. Automation is step sequencer rather than drawing curves.

Personally I love DM1 and find it very inspirational. To me it feels very much like a hardware drum machine with a really nice step sequencer built in. You an also import your own samples.

Yeah, DM-1 is sweet, but is still a bit far from what I'm asking, especially not having basic hi/low EQ for each part, and 4 separate sends. I really want to do as much in a performance mode/context, and limit the amount of bouncing/recording/importing into a DAW.. An eg. of what I'd like to be able to control in real-time is the wet/dry ratio of the following: reverb on kick, delay on hats, LPF on snare, flanger on claps or crash.

Yes, I see that point. Btw. pretty soon I'm gonna release the pure Drum Machine solution, actually the Drum Machine, which is part of G-Stomper Beat Studio, but as said, as a slim Drum Machine solution without Synthesizer and tonal Sequencers. I'll post it here when it's ready.

Post

And the last thing I'm looking for is a slim drum machine! I want the opposite, something with all kinds of processing possibilities.

Slim in this context means fully featured, but without the overhead of melodic sequencing and synthesizers.

24 track drum machine, each track with its own mixer channel strip, 3 aux sends, 1 sum fx, 31 effect types, pattern length up to 128 steps, various beat signatures, audio export up to 32bit 96kHz stereo;)

Sounds too slim to you?

Sounds really g :tu: :tu: d to me!

Thank you :)

What it actually doesn't provide are the EQ's on the channel strips. But instead this you have a dedicated filter section for each track, which factually can do the same. You can choose 1 of different filter types per track (resonant LP/HP 12+24dB, Moog style LP/HP, BP + Notch).

You can import your own samples, every uncompressed aif or wav from 8 up to 64bit, which can be real time modulated in many ways.

But I guess the dealkiller for you is that it won't be available on IOS, at least not this year. Even if a port is planned, it'll take a while until it gets real. For now, it's exclusive on Android.

Oh. Too bad, as I started this thread requesting iOs solutions.

I want what Ned had... err wants!

Hi

Stroke Machine (I use it) should get you fairly close. However now that you mention it, for a Drum Machine this sophisticated a dedicated mixer (with automation) page would be really great, I would hope that the dev may consider the per part routing with audio bus.I don't see why not.

Edit: I just emailed and asked about the mixer/per part Audiobus routing, I also asked about using wavetables and possibility of resampling/recording back into Stroke Machine, I'll let you know when I hear back.
