Looks like an interesting project, I'm sure there is people out there wishing they had a better GM soundbank. If the price is right, I'd buy it just to hear my MIDI files with new, high quality sounds.

Ermmm ... ouch!
Out of my league I'm afraid.
I was sad when NI abandoned Bandstand, which will no longer work on my mac. It was probably about €100 at the time I purchased it though my memory may be wrong. I genuinely wish you well. The sounds are great.

It seems the youtube video has been removed.
Any news on this very interesting project?
The soundset is one thing and might be exciting - but I've more concerns about the midi bank / program handling with Kontakt. Bandstand had a very unique implementation which couldn't be reimplemented in newer version of Kontakt later - this as I got out of threads in Kontakt Forums. The difficulty to deal with bank / program changes and fast on the fly loading of all the instruments was always the challenge. I've tried many approaches as well - but went back to Emulator X3 as there the GM support and easy bank / program assignments is straight forward. Even if no update since 2008 ... it works excellent on Windows 8.1 for me.
At least Steinberg has done some serious efforts with Cubase to get back the abandoned GM support. You can just load a GM file and it plays without hacking struggeling back and forward with preloading instruments. But Steinberg uses a dongle licensing. Ok for Studio, but for mobile dongle is a no go ... so I'm still on the road to find a solution to close the bridge between GM compatibility and scalability on the same sampler up to high quality production.
Currently after many years my favorite is back again Independence which provides the easy GM capabilities for bank / program assignments.. but it seems Magix is not aware of their market opportunities in this area.
So, I'm still curious about the project and specially how you would achieve to handle easy GM compatibility with Kontakt.

I'm very interested in an excellent GM bank that hits the sweet spot between compactness and good detailed sound.
In my opinion the pricing is more than a bit off though. You'll be in direct competition with the upcoming sampletank 3.
if you can get this to about $200-$300 (absolute max imo), i could see a lot of people opting for it if it sounds great and fulfills its midi playback role well.
I see it's on the back burner now, but imo think good and hard before you cancel it! Good software romplers are still a relative rarity!
