Hey Compyfox, we post-poned VST3 until Steinberg sticks to their own standards (current VST3 hosting is a mess). Interestingly, we had over 20.000 downloads so far and nobody asked for VST3! ...right now, we're working on the AAX edition instead.
Absolutely no surprise, if I take note of KVR's own "VST3 SDK hatethread".

I promised you to get in touch with Steinberg regarding this issue, and that will happen this week. I also just saw that v1.0 only comes as VST2.0 - I think especially due to the issues I mentioned.

In this case, the only known issue we've both encountered, were that the VST2 version simply vanishes off of the Master Rack in Wavelab if you switch from the 32bit host version to the 64bit one.

Also... thanks for backing up my post with an official statement.

I downloaded and tried it out on some vocals and synths today. I really like it! I also downloaded proximity since I already own all the VOS stuff and TDR Feedback II, and that too has it's uses. Thanks so much!

I would DEFINETELY pay for programs ya'll make.

I'm loving this eq! I'm dreaming up all kinds of upgrades for LimiterNo.6 and TDR Feedback II.
I wish Proximity had a multiply button so you could X3 the effect. It's pretty hard for me to hear what it's doing sometimes.

You want to check out some posts by Teksonik. He has a wild theory that none of the Bootsy plugins do anything at all. Well, he doesn't really say that, but you know..

Fair play to the guy. The Bootsy plugins can be subtle in the extreme. And there are quite a few where I can not hear any difference at all. You need good monitoring/headphones/hearing. And even then, you need a brain that is trained in this kind of stuff.

I think it is fair to say it is not a conspiracy and most of the plugins do something most of the time. I mean, it took me a while to pick up on the subtleties of the TDR compressor. Many more people, much more well versed than me, spotted it.

There are a lot of blowhards on KVR, and I'm probably one of them. It takes years and years to train the brain system to work all this out. It is, quite frankly, a very laborious task. But there are also lots of people who have paid their dues. You can take pointers from them and learn. I have.

Yes it is subtle. Yes all the information is confusing. Work out a system for yourself that you can reference. Your own yardstick. Measure, rinse, repeat...

It's only Proximity I'm talking about. Other than the 32bit thing I love all of the VOS plugins, Feedback I and II are great. LimiterNo.6 is one of the best (sounding) Limiters available. I use it or Pro-L, but sometimes I just have Pro-L running after L6 to use it's meters.

I can testify that Bootsie's plugins definitely work. :D Subtlety is the key, actually. Subtlety on every channel makes a big difference in the end result. That's quite a bit like how consoles work, or cooking! A bit of spice here, a bit of spice there and the end dish is the sum of all the work you've done while cooking. :D I love to cook. :D

That reads like a weird oxymoron in my very tired state... Perhaps they are extreme but in a very subtle way.

I dig the slickEQ a lot, Its one of very few EQ's that I don't mind seeing go into the red, Soviet with the 'deep' output stage is ballin/wicked sick

This not happens for example with "Sonimus SonEQ" but I must admit that this in the average mid peak and on the shelves is more warming...
SonEQ has gentle high-pass, this plugin has 18 dB/Oct. I'd recommend you to shift the filter to 50 Hz.

I wonder if any of the previous VOS plugins will be updated to support OS X?

@vladg: Dear Vladg, first time tried by late night and listen all with a pair of old Fostex passive nearfield (6'' woofer) which I'm attached... After I read all the PDF instructions and solved the problem...
the fact is that I don't know how to use it on the master but with instruments is great, especially hihat and indeed I hope for the VST3 version! Your suggestion is right but I was so anxious to try that I have not seen all the rest..!
anyway thanks :tu:

VST3 version is, as mentioned earlier, postponed until Steinberg fixes a serious issue in Wavelab (the so called, infamous "Audio Forward Bug", GUI recall issues), and Cubase (GUI recall and parameter reset). If the hosts don't work according to their own set specs, it's not the fault of the 3rd party developer.

As long as that isn't fixed, I don't think that current and future TDL plugins will be released in VST3 form. I'll shortly get in touch with Steinberg regarding these issues - since TDL isn't the only company that suffers from this. I'm sure Fabien or Vlad will then inform the masses what the ultimate outcome was and will be.

This EQ is wonderful! It's amazing how good it sounds and how easy it is to operate.
The only thing more I could want from it would be to mix and match EQ models per band, so I could only use one of them!
