I felt the same. I bought it as well, and I don't regret it one bit. I feel that Bitwig is going to get there sooner rather then later. I'm happy to support the Bitwig team (like yourself) as they've been busting themselves to try and get the updates out asap. Fair play!humanbeingbeing wrote:Multi outs would be great but lets not forget about midi routing, in terms of features, really apart from a few things, if those 3 big items were covered the app would be complete for my practical purposes... BTW I just bought Bitwig... I like the crash protection having a license, but I bought it because I'm super impressed with the Bitwig team and their updates, honestly, with all this negativity about bugs and such, I really think we can't expect much more from a software group, they seem to be really on the ball... I wasn't expecting the PDC fix so fast, but especially them updating the vst listings, that was great... now they've promised multi outs and other updates so I don't feel the investment is risky at all.

I bought it on the first day, I guess that was a but risky - but I was able to make music just fine the very first day. It has been out 6 days now, and the fixes and updates it has allready received is so impressive! Very happy customer.
For those sitting on the fence, support the company - the more we invest, the more we get back.
Trackgrouping and VST-multi and I agree - the program has everything I need

Kind of surprised more people aren't disappointed that there is no note audition while drawing notes. For those of us who compose in the piano roll this a major bummer.

Send them an FR stillshaded. I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere they are looking into this.

I'm pretty sure I read one of the devs say that this is coming.stillshaded wrote:Kind of surprised more people aren't disappointed that there is no note audition while drawing notes. For those of us who compose in the piano roll this a major bummer.

Confirmed. Also: Play note when selecting an existing one and when moving with cursor keys. After all, you should hear what you do.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I'm pretty sure I read one of the devs say that this is coming.stillshaded wrote:Kind of surprised more people aren't disappointed that there is no note audition while drawing notes. Of course different people have their different interests. Time signature changes is also big. Lots of music depends on it, and it cannot be done in Bitwig.humanbeingbeing wrote:Multi outs would be great but lets not forget about midi routing, in terms of features, really apart from a few things, if those 3 big items were covered the app would be complete for my practical purposes...

What's up with this?...!dom@bitwig wrote:shhht, rtfm, the switch is already in there since months!
The manual just came out 6 days ago.....along with the product.
The feature being discussed has not even been implemented....so how can it be in the manual?
geeze....

Notes audition if you use the pen tool, but not if you double click with the default toolstillshaded wrote:Kind of surprised more people aren't disappointed that there is no note audition while drawing notes. For those of us who compose in the piano roll this a major bummer.
Also, changing velocity does not audition.

It is in there already for moving notes with the mouse, has a button etc. but is not there yet for creating or touching a note.
And hey, only because everyone can suddenly watch us now working on it in realtime does not mean that we did not do exactly that in silence for years now
But that was one of the decisions, at least trying to be silent and not to feed the hype during the development phase, and interact as much as possible with the growing community as soon as 1.0 is released!
I'll call it a day now. See you later or tomorrow!

Speaking of editing and the pen tool, shouldn't a single click on an existing note with the pen delete that note? As it is now, it does nothing.
