Hey thats pretty cool fxe! Welcome to kvr
Its hard to tell if that is synth guitar or live, since its so drenched in effects - not a bad thing though, its a nice distinctive sound. On first listen, melodies/harmonies are very impressive but there is so much going on I'll need to hear it a few more times to absorb everything, methinks. A bit more of a cohesive ending than that single note would be nice tho
Production-wise, the track is has too much high-end for my taste. It might be too bright a reverb, or just the sounds themselves.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. Cheers!

never heard the term acoustic metal i don't think
pretty evil little track you got there. like the notes, but i agree the high end is a bit much on this one. what did you use on this? real guitar or no? sometimes those acoustic sounds are hard to tell. anyway, always interested to hear more metel tunes, so keep postin!

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah I think it may be too bright and I also have a tendency to overdo the reverb sometimes.I'm going to go back and make some tweaks.
t-willy I'm gonna dl your tune now and check it out.I'll let you know. I'm always lookin to hear more metal but their doesnt seem to be to many of us.
I'm also working on a new heavy one hopefully I can finish it within the next few days and post a link.
again thanks for the comment.

I'm not sure if you did, but avoid heavy reverb on bass. If this track had a solid, in your face bass track it would balance with the high-end alot better.

Hey this is way cool - somehow reminds me of the hippy metal side of Led Zeppelin but somehow manages not to sound like anything I've heard...
I'd like to join the list of people curious to know what you used for these sounds!
Cool track.

I spend more time looking at the technical threads than listening but this song title got my attention. Pretty weird but interesting little ditty...UniCon wrote:Hey this is way cool - somehow reminds me of the hippy metal side of Led Zeppelin but somehow manages not to sound like anything I've heard...

My guess is that its not "real" but synthesized. Maybe even NI FM7??? I may be way off though.
I agree with the comments about too much high end - way too much.
I'd like to hear it again with the highend issue fixed.
Cheers!

Well I'm working on fixing the high end problem which is proving a little tricky to do and keep the overall characteristics of the song.
For those that have been curious:
This song was done in Flstudio using 2 instances of real guitar,boobass,slayer1 and artist drums.

i would just say back off of it a bit. don't know if you have the Kjaerhus Classic Series plugs (free) but there's some good stuff in there.fxe wrote:Does anyone have any reccomendations for the rverb on this?
