First I want to thank you all of you for your nice words and support about this upgrade !

XILS 3 LE vanish issue (on Mac):
This is fixed with the current 2.0.1 version. You need to download and install the both plug-ins (what ever the order now !)

About the presets compatibility as Laurent already said :
_ the check box in the keyboard panel increase the compatibility with the previous version : No sine waveshaping, monophonic ringmodulator (instead of polyphonic), more noise in the filter core.
_ All the level modulation have been improved, this means for instance, that when modulating the lfo level with the wheel, could bring some changes.
_ The output level modulation is now polyphonic, especially when modulated by the velocity. For pads, this could be a quite big difference. Anyway, changing the global velocity amount can help, as well as changing the level of the two outputs (using the ALT key on these level knob allows them to be moved at the same time)

Amongst many other things you'll hear that ......

The Xils 3 V2.0 benefits of the new 4th generation ODF 18 and 24 db analog filters. ( And this means optimised cpu AND finely modeled non linear behaviour)
looks better, workflow enhancements, a lot more possibilities, sounds even better than before, no more hanging notes here, cpu a lot less, great new presets .. the matrix zoom is

Little tip : With the swiveling pins, you can now specify both modulation intensity AND polarity directly in the Matrixes. Oh and we're cooking some extra assignable mod targets. 800 different modulations per patch are great, so we thought we could take even more advantage of this.

Ah yes I found it - I was looking in options (which might have been the logical place to put this). However it seems to come on everytime I switch a preset - even from the factory bank - so every time I have to go into the keyboard panel and unset it. A global off/on would be appreciated, as well ideally as the ability for it to detect a legacy patch (like Zebra 2.3 mode does).

Even with it on some patches sound different though - that's not ideal as I have a lot of banks for the XILS and don't want to have to open them all in XILS3.1 all the time. I would also like to know what to change to make my old patches work again as it's not clear what is affecting the sound.

Can we have a zoom for the tiny sequencer please too? I still find it hard to work with.

Thank you very much for the latest update! I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but the things that people have mentioned (being able to zoom in on the matrix) sounds awesome!

I'm also looking forward to the coming version 4 upgrade. The upgrade price sounds very reasonable and fair. What?? You mean this isn't a hobby for you? And... what is this thing you say you need to do called putting food on the table? What's that all about ?

Are we going to need a coupon in order to order the v4 upgrade? Have those coupons already been deposited in our accounts? I do not see one.

If not Im biting the bullet and buying a f**king dongle

Thanks Sequent, zoom in matrixes, exclusive swiveling pins in matrixes, revamped GUI, additonal connexions, modules, 4 generation odf analog filters with accurate non linearities, additonal presets ( now 400 ), polyphonic Ring Modulator, I certainly hope you'll find a lot to explore in the Xils 3 V2.0 version

As for the upgrade path, its not for a version 4 of the Xils 3 : It's for the Xils 4, an ubermodular monster new synthesizer, and the upgrade paths will show in your account .... once it has been released

There's for sure a reason, but we'd like to know wich one too. It just was not proposed to us.

It this changes, we'll certainly consider very seriously the soft eLicencer option.

( Note : In our case the dongle protection is efficient. Even another of our flagship synthesizers, Oxium, wich is only serial protected, seems to have given some strong headaches to w..z afficionados, and it was intesresting seeing people on those forums having bad times to import a single soundbank in Oxium 1.5, and forced to stop the machine because the 200Ko archive suddenly grows to several Gos on their HDs. And each time one of our educational bombs exploded, we were very happy to kindly welcome in our community a lot of new Oxium users.But well, thats another story )

When the Xils 4 will be released, upgrades will be deposited automatically in your account.

iLok 2 and elicencer dongle are both uncrackable or at least very hard to crack. I am ok with both dongles. People that hate them should go and buy something else and stop moaning in every thread.
