Anyone more familiar with Kickstarter campaigns (I've never done it) ?
Say I'd pledge $25 now and let's assume VST goal ($60,000) is reached, would I automatically get the VST version also ?

you should only ask yourself if you need the prime features ($60) or you satisfied with the regular imitone ($25).The VST would be for Windows and Mac and would be included with imitone and imitone prime for all backers.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I've quoted the above myself a few posts before without properly reading it.murnau wrote:No_Use wrote:Anyone more familiar with Kickstarter campaigns (I've never done it) ?

Thanks for clarifying.

huh !!!
Haven't tried the latest version, and am not at my music PC, but if I recall correctly, -- for monophonic tracks anyway -- I think it was just a matter of importing the wav file, letting melodyne recognise it, and the Save As / Midi.

I've got a lot of use out of the WIDI Audio to MIDI plugin.
I often run it through Insert Piz Here's Force to Range, and Force to Key (Scale) plugins.
Nevertheless, having the scale detection and selection built in (as is planned for imitone) will be nice.
Pitchbend will also be welcome, and the imitone gui is certainly more pleasing to my eye.
Looks cool.
In my opinion not as groundbreaking as some may perceive it to be, but nice to see a new take on realtime audio to MIDI being tackled nonetheless.

what impressed me: the expression and vibrato. akoff, melodyne or widi can't convert to midi in such a superb detail. that it's done in realtime is (for me) only an addition.dformd wrote:In my opinion not as groundbreaking as some may perceive it to be, but nice to see a new take on realtime audio to MIDI being tackled nonetheless.

Looks very nice and usable because of it's low latency and pitch tracking.
He doesn't mention 64 bit vst Windows support though, that's holding me back from spending 25$,
At this point i'm not buying any 32 bit plugins anymore.
I don't like if people are not clearly and direct regarding this point.

That is really cool. I was looking into a hardware device like that, but it was too expensive for a hobbyist, I could not even try it to see if it does what it is supposed to. Some of those devices have problems detecting the right note when one sings a pitch between two notes. Because of the way Midi works, it seems it is not possible to produce the pitch sung, but only bend up or down to that intermediary pitch from a perfect note so to speak.
So, how much will that thing cost if one waits for the finished version without paying now? More than those 25 bucks? No PayPal?

Apparently goes as low as C2, which doesn't do my guitar any good, I think the low note is E1. I don't want to actually sing into MIDI though.

Actually, a Standard Guitar's low E is E2.RunBeerRun wrote:Apparently goes as low as C2, which doesn't do my guitar any good, I think the low note is E1. I don't want to actually sing into MIDI though.

Nobody's still developing 32-bit plugins for anything other than compatibility, so even if 64-bit isn't immediate, it'd be close behind.
Frankly if this doesn't get to the VST stretch goal We are All terrible People.
