Downloaded it this morning, but stuff was still installing when I had to leave for work.

I'm hoping the various VST preset/parameter saving bugs are fixed...

And they have totally borked midi in 2x

It's totally impossible to drag a pattern out of maschine into your daw then record a new part on another group.

Worked just fine in 1.8 so no idea what they are doing with 2. Hmmmm.

Post

Did you try the batch midi setup before dragging?

It can either set up same root note, ascending midi channel or same midi channel, ascending root note

Try dragging out a pattern from group A then create a new group B and try to record a new pattern into maschine

The only feature i care about in this update is the ability to move plugins between tracks and duplicate them, that's it...

I wonder if it's time to update now. Was that a MKII St Joe was using?

Post

if you want to sequence inside 2.1 update.

if you want to drag to host it's a complete ass.

I can't wait to re-buy maschine again.

the 2.0 update looks pretty decent. I'm not really concerned too much about midi drag and drop in maschine so that won't be a big deal for me.

I'd be very concerned.

They are! :D That was my #1 beef. I use Maschine standalone, and didn't mess with 1.8 for more than a couple days, so I don't even know what the MIDI dragging issue is (nor care to have it explained to me).

Shift + knob to quickly scroll through the browser is damn nice too, and the new drumsynth stuff is a minor cool thing.

Somewhat disappointing this release still creates Maschine2.log and ScanApp.log in the user's home directory on the Mac. The user's home directory is no place for log files. Windows programmers trying their hand at applications for the Mac.

I want to love Maschine. I'll keep trying.
