But indeed with those hairjobs it was hard to guess who's the 'her', but there are other clues (cluebs) to be had

If Swedish band Kent would perform more on English, they would be much more recognised worldwide (but i like exactly the swedish lyric, even thought don't understand a word):

Aren't you from Norway, so there should be some similarities to Swedish? (If you don't understand Finnish, I could understand it...)

However, call me crazy but I like bands which sing in their mother tongue, it gives them a special touch. Singing in English would make them boring as mainstream...

I'm definitely planning some songs in Bavarian language...

Always thought she had a powerful voice, but like so many bands around that time and a bit earlier (like Heart) - hated the songs. And the sound, generally.

Although I remember quite liking a couple of Ace Of Base tunes. Reggae-lite they might've been, but I was a kid at the time.

With regards to some of the other bands mentioned...I love a lot of Radiohead's stuff - much of it's dreary in atmosphere, but not boring for me. I even quite liked Colplay's first album before the radio overplayed just about everything on it, and every band sounded like them. Travis, and Elbow...never interested in them - clone-guitar-bands.

I seem to remember a lot of Swedish pop bands being rich in harmony and melody, but on the whole I think I prefer Norwegian bands that I can bring to mind. Or Icelandic. Or even Finnish. OK, I'm not that into Swedish bands apparently. Pop-bands anyway. I lvoe a bit of Salgor Und Swing (organ & drums duo). And Bo Hansson's Lord of The Rings album is one of my fave instrumental albums (before he went into full-on new age mediocrity mode).

If you like Roxette there is Gyllende Tider, the band Per had before Roxette :p not as many ballads though, sommartider hej hej..
