A Wharfdale 12 channel FX USB mixer and numerous necessary cable (plus 4m of cable snake to keep them tidy).

Oh, and an Xoxbox.
The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

I love these, had them for a few years. Can be a bit heavy on the skull, but worth it in the long run :)

Hmm I am quite interested in that : http://www.innerclocksystems.com/New%20 ... 20Pro.html

Am I correct in understanding it syncs from stereo out and sends the timing signal to both dinsync and midi simulatenously. Wondering if it's a good way to tighten up the Virus TI, my midi is all over the place as far as routing goes...needs a seperate thread to explain

That's the basic idea. The Sync Gen II plugin is inserted as a software instrument track, the output of the plugin is set e.g. channels 3/4 (i.e. not the master output).

The hardware side receives the steady audio pulse from the plugin and uses it to output a rock solid MIDI clock, which your hardware syncs to via one of the 5 MIDI / DIN sync ports.

This means I can now press "play" in Logic and any attached hardware sequencers start exactly in time with the project and stays there (no drift ...).

How tight the hardware synth/sequencer output is really depends on well the hardware syncs to the Sync Gen clock, but so far testing with e.g. the internal sequencer of the Elektron A4, the audio coming back in to Logic is within a few of samples for each note, so that's a major win.

Not sure about this. Sync Gen II generates clock only, it does not magically tighten up MIDI notes sent from the host to an external synth although you could obviously adjust the timing of the MIDI (via preferences) so that it's output at the right time to match playback. There would still be the problem of host MIDI clock jitter, though, so notes leaving the computer to the VIrus may still be out of time.

My god Andy I hate you.
Now I need one of these.
Just when I was getting on top of things too :(

Andy, I like to run MIDI into my Kenton and then Clock Out into the 101 to sequence the internal arp/sequencer. However it is rather sloppy and takes 6 or so random starts to get it roughly in time. Would this SGII fix this? I can't see any clock out on the unit, only DINSync and MIDI.

EDIT: We'll f*ckadoodledoo! Just been to the site and yes it does accommodate Clock Out :( :( :(
