Sonimus +1 - both Britson and Satson
UA (all the mkII revisions, API, SHMC)
Fabfilter
Gotta tip my hat to the new IK eq73 & 81 - smart and elegant, in-spite of the often maligned t-rex logo.
I actually always likes the mellowmuse GUI's too...they still around?

Or
IK Multimedia EQ81
http://rekkerd.org/img/201404/trcs_module_eq_81.jpg
KVR doesn't work with my images anymore.
I like it when there's big real looking knobs that stick out and illuminated buttons with a VU meter.
my fave list of GUIs are:-
u-he DIVA
Newer Soundtoys plugins
Slate Digital
IK Multimedia's EQ81 that logo though :/
Spectrasonics
Though its a different style and more simple DMG Audio and FAB Filter have very good layout and easy to read GUIs a joy to use.

The moyority of plug in devs choose horrible skeumorphic designs.
fabfilter interfaces are so ridiculously over the top and unnecessary. those knobs look like tiny penises.
valhalla plugs are obnoxiously ugly as well. flux plugins look the best. if were talking about style.
that said, fabfilter, and valhalla plugs sound awesome. vintage verb is imo better then those overpriced 2c reverbs. never used the flux ones.

Fabfilter plugins IMO are extremely well thought out. I think they're the easiest to use and that's a problem with these threads... Style vs. Usability... but I do love the looks/usability of Saturn, Volcano 2 and their entire "Pro" line. Now only if they'd think about making larger UI's and I'd be happy (come on 4K is already here).AstralExistence wrote:i can picture the clothes you wear.rod_zero wrote:Best Effects GUI's:

Valhalla plugins are great, extremely well laid out (and am so happy he's going back to FreqEcho). Resizability is a great addition that I so wish other developers would incorporate over faux hardware interfaces that can't be resized (or when they are, look fuzzy). And 2Caudio works well alongside Valhalla plugins (and worth every penny).
Madrona Labs Aalto also belongs on that same list here. Usable, logically laid out. Resizable and cool feedback animations.
And yeah... Flux plugins look great. Hard to argue that, but I don't like the layout of their plugins. Still extremely useable and well thought out, but again I personally don't like it.

Best:
1. Izotope Alloy 2
2. Uhbik
3. Camelspace
4. Waves (some are good, some look "old and ugly")
5. Fabfilter (some are outlandish, but good for the most part)
6. Reason effects (just because I'm most productive in this environment, and it's only likely to get better after 7.1)
I rate these the best, not necessarily because they look good, but because in many cases the ui enables me to get the best out of them.

I've bought both. I like them. The "buss" is really subtle but it opens up things a bit. The channel is fantastic if you don't already have something for gain staging. The filters are good.fedexnman wrote:I think Ill retract me looks like real gear remark after seeing Satson , Do those sound as good as they look ...hibidy wrote:Oh yeah, you know what else I really like? I'm in 78 bones for both satson and the recent britson and though I don't need both I'm happy. Very stable in reaper, studio one and live so far

Angular Momentum Additive Table Synth

Trancedrive

I like them simple and clean. No fancy graphics or analog gear. Both made with Synthmaker, btw

Interesting choice.
I like the design of trancedrive, but have yet to meet a man that has made a sound I care for with it. I've got two banks, and they are horrendous.
The presets on Angular Momentum's are a clone of the ones in their wavedraw synth. You can play them side by side. I don't know why, wavedraw sounds better.
