Hi guys :)

I've been asked a couple of time, why I started my sound set sales, so cheap.
Do you find your self, saying"Hmm, if the developer is charging so little, is there something wrong with his/her product? Does, he/she have a low opinion, of his/her work? and if so why should I feel confident about buying it?" Is there a price at which, you will not buy, because its too low?
I know there is this thinking, in the traditional market place.
HHmm, I believe, I'll raise my prices, soon :D
Thanks for any feedback.

SawIt! 33 Presest For Image Line’s Sawer$18 :o :o :o

You seem to be going for the 50 cents a presets, would you charge for a full bank of 128 presets ... 64$

Have you sold any at all?

Yeah, I've sold none! :clown: :hihi: I get the point. Hmmm, may be, I should a little higher.

First I think anywhere between 5-10$ for a full bank of presets is the way to go, unless you are a really popular accomplished preset designer. That's around 5 cents a preset and you are charging ten times this much.. You are charging too much  Usually I don't even look at a preset batch unless it has a 128 presets unless its for a synth i really like and doesn't have lots of free ones. So I would consider creating a full bank set or at minimum 64 presets. Offer some of them for free so users can try them out to get full bank. Create more demo tracks and make sure they sound good, if making music isn't your area you could ask someone to do it for the free presets or even pay them a little. Might be a good investment or not? It's up to you. Good Luck!

for me there's no bottom limit. i even donate for stuff which is free if i like it and want to support the people behind.
sorry for you but your soundset is way overpriced (compared to other) and the one sounddemo doesn't impressed me. so yeah, i wouldn't even donate if you would give it out for free. :)
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I agree that the Sawer and Effectrix sets are too expensive and there are too few presets in them.
I looked at your website and I noticed two main problems:
- There are two pages but they are not linked to each other. Why not just make one?
- There is no info whatsoever about the sets beside the number of presets and their price. Write a discription, make bank art, make full-fledged audio demos. You need to make people want to buy your sets.

Like it has been said before, you need to make your offer tighter. Define how much your work is worth in a consistent way. Generally speaking, 64 presets sell between $8 and $15, 128 presets between $10 and $25.

Being an independent "sound designer" (I speak from experience) is difficult because nobody knows you and in this day and age, most people are very careful how they spend your money.
However, it's very rewarding and a fantastic journey.
Good luck.

Thanks guys :) Presentation needs to be, much better, I get it. As for the two pages, I've lost code for the original, I should finish building the new page first, and moving every thing to it. I just found that my home page, is also gone! Jeez, I guess that also, gives the impression, of laziness and does not instill confidence in potential buyers...Organization, is something I really need to work on.

Thanks again for the input...I'll be working on sounds, sound demos and site issues.

It's not a bad business strategy: Start out with a high price, and then after a while do a big sale "80% off for a limited time only" :D

You can do better than this. Crysonic do 96% off...

Edit: it's actually 97% off. *facepalm*

Yes! Longest 48 hour sale in the history of time!

Crysonic! :D

Ok, a rethinking, Yeah, I'll be changing the prices and leave them alone what about $8.00 for each, until I add more, which I will add to both, Sawer and Effectrix. I'll make them both a 128 bank. Also, here is a demo pack for Effectrix
4 Demo presets(needs full version of Effectrix)
