Okies; the weekend is behind us now so its time to catch up:

Here is page 1 (with the last three excepted; as PanicNow seems to be down) reviewed:

Warbug – Great soundscaping and building of the blocks. I have a feeling you could have lifted the various sounds in the first minute by cutting out little bits of the EQ on the long dark humming bass. Then DnB madness that was smack in my face good :) although a bit too compressed I feel as compressing has sucked the life out of some of the great sounds going on. Somehow I would have hoped the beats to get in there much sooner, but that’s more a ‘theme’- thingy

IanWeb – Great to see you in the contests again :) I just loved the subtleties of the building blocks getting ready to build Abel’s tower. There were times that I hoped it to burst and burst and the longstretched build only added to that. Very illusive and visual and the delicacy of the instruments chosen only adds to that final but in my mind way too short a burst (I would want a ten minute build of this and a 6 minute burst)

Donkey Tugger
– Ferkin ‘ell you twat..... ohno – sorry you’re no twat.... you RAWK....... Only one thing missing that heavenly RAWK voice ........ theme’s..... was there a theme ?

Blitz – Every month it is always a joy how the boat rocks through the contest tunes. The variation’s just a treat to the ear. As is this which I feel carefully built tune. Where the wibbley sounds halfway create a great movement. Greatly created atmosphere here

Mffs – In a way this reminds me quite much of my own first entry into the contests. A very minimalistic piece with a greatly woven tapestry of sounds that I could listen to all night. Welcome to the contests mffs; stick around – its a great learning experience ;)

Duncanparsons – Having listened to your CD contributions zillions of times now I’ve come to hear some great sequences being made and melded together. As in this tune. Sci-fi from the years we had 2001:space oddysey. Still though I feel you could have taken this much further. One thing I am most missing I guess is an ending as it sort of dies out. Cool to be hearing more of your hands though.

Ixox – The Frank Gravenstein thriller has finally been released and vampires are flying around the world to spread the news of the new Master about. Emmmmm that was the vision I was getting here at first; before reading the background which gave a little bit more modern vision of it all. This was good Xavier; pretty tight job and atmosphere that I much enjoyed.

Jax – A great atmospheric build with classical elements. Partially embedded with a joyous feel and on the other side a haunting feel. The rhythms that started late in the second half would imo been better off starting way earlier to further build a theme upon. Good production though.

Hues – heh that radio felt noise in the beginning is quite a cool touch, although I feel it interfering with the rest a bit as I think it should have died out sooner (it tends to muddify the track a bit). I like that playfullish lead theme although I feel it lacks a bit of drive and power, but that more or less I guess is in the minimalistic instrumental choice of sounds and sequences.

Eric Bourne – hehe... you’re description made me smile there; drawing first a cool sketch that ends in disaster. Heh; represented in the tune by just upping the reverbs; which could have used some kind of splash/bang at the end to only emphasize the underlying theme here a bit. Great piano in this Eric; quite the soft and melodious tune, which I rather like :D

Hmmmmmmmm- for now this is page 1 as I cannot get into any tunes at PanicNow! (as my own site)..... it seems to be down right now......:(

@ Andreas - Has happened before; I'm just crossing my fingers here....

Anyhow Page 2 with some exceptions:

Sleek Month
– Yeah; get that groove going and start the engines….. Flesh eating zombies eh... I think I saw one over at the kvr:mcr weekend; that lusty Jens was at it checking the food out. Wham bam boogie top tune you delivered with drive and I think the vox just pushes it up further. The track left a lasting impression somehow so mission accomplished. Top production as always and simply just great music.

Sason le Klee – Jazz and Funk with the Rodger vocation :D This just got me hoppin and boppin here. I just loved the description that you gave with it and I could just see this one happening... perhaps the ending could have had some strange FX going, but its not really missing though. Fantastic and lively addition to the contest. Keep boppin’ 8)

Sciche – Rather optimistic look :? drugs orgies viruses...... eeeeeks... no virusses :P
I just loved the lofi feel of the tune and the rough edged sounds and sequences. Great dynamics and use of samples here. Very futuristic sounding piece; although the counter says 2.02 – being 2 secs too long. (best cut that out, as to not confuse peeps; the tune stays withing the 2 mins though)

Vurt – heh; fantastic pre-story. Never thought Hyancinth would live up in Manc, but being there myself I can see why though... The plants here started to do some crazy things. I just saw a cactus run around the living room :-o. But where else could this all take place then in Manc.

Sephiritoh – This is simply ace and head on. The music I listened to alone at first which was good in its own right untill I saw there was video as well...... Man that just finishes it off and makes it complete. You’re outdoing yourself with this one. Top video work; and I just laughed when that bionicle started playing football with a rock..... heh

Armadillo – heh; working for peanuts. Well you created something good here, that’s for sure... quite a few different sequences running in here and they are layered and melded together rather good. Strong horns and strings. All in all a strong tune with a great moving flow, a good break and a fine ending.

Nuissance sonores – Heh, your usual fine contribution of sounds and spheres. What can I say top productive work, and noise does certainly have its own worth in melodies doesn’t it. Fitted perfected within the theme ;)

Bastien & infektedm – both your tunes seems not to be downloadable (either direct linking or right-clicking)

Uniconquotes: (sorry - what utter twaddle! I just thought I'd get into the spirit of things...) hehehe, and you sure did.. cool story you came up with there. Great driving force in the music, where I guess the only thing imo missing is a carrying melody. That said; don’t mean this is not good, as it is. Like said earlier. Good to see you in the playing-field again :D

Liqih - :hihi: that harp; what beautiful noise is coming from that, what instrument is that :hihi: But seriously, this is some great carpetry of sounds with quite the visual impact as I felt the lead sound to be quite convincingly live (be it digitalized). It does come in rather sharp though and a more progressive introduction may have worked better. Arrangement wise I feel more could have be gotten from it.... but to put it simply; I loved it anyhow.

Freeztar – cool pun; funktier. Very spacious tune with some really odd wiggley sounds happening all around making this another quite scenic soundscape. I do somehow had wished this to develop more into a song as it did in the final 30 seconds. Btw; is that a real guitar used in that final part.....

And again, some where skipped due to Panicnow being down still......
