In a letter to his father, Wolfie wrote:
"an arrogant ass and a simple-minded little wit of his profession ... finally when he was a little drunk, which happened soon, he started on about music. He sang a canon, and said: I have never in my life heard anything more beautiful ... He started. I took the third voice, but I slipped in an entirely different text: 'Pater E: o du schwanz, leck mich im arsch' ["Father Emilian, oh you prick, lick me in the ass"]. Sotto voce, to my cousin. Then we laughed together for another half hour."

Muffwigglers is a very nice forum! I don't post there very often but I read and listen a lot. Not a lot of "which module do I need to sound like X?" talk there, but a lot of true passion for music/sound. That's something I'm often missing here.

It's not really a forum, but I also like the analog industries blog a lot. A lot of "no bullsh*t" talk between people who actually use their stuff to make music, instead of just talking about it.
Chris music and posts on his blog often inspire me to get sh*t done.

Cheers

You cannot claim Mozart as a conservative for his milieu and know very much. I enjoyed bringing in his letters to his bunny cousin ...
I now wish you goodnight, shit in your bed with all your might, sleep with peace on your mind and try to kiss your own behind.

and things like the tune 'Leck Mich Im Arsch'

I read through a couple like gearslutz and did post some on harmony central.
Synapse Audio has a good community that I like too.
Majority of the time it's here.
FB has a lot of music/synth related pages as well.
