I don't need their forum, so it isn't anything to me, I just tossed that on top of the pile. I think they are the ones that can stand to learn when people bring up things, though. please reread my post, I said the customer has the right to complain...not once but twice and I also supported the OP complaining here so I do not understand what you are trying to say...as for reading the topic...yes I read it, it says IKMM is deleting posts he made on the IK forum..and once again I clearly state I think that is wrong.murnau wrote:and you missed the point as well. the comment i quoted was because it ONLY contain the price change and not a single word about that what really made the OP upset and what is the reason for this thread: do you by any chance read the topic title and the post of OP?. i don't know what's so difficult to understand.Hink wrote:you miss the point, it's their house and they can what they wish...might I add that they do it at their own peril...I agree it's the wrong thing to do and it does make them look bad...but they make their own bed. What I said obviously went way above your head and my brand of humour is lost on you, Still I wasn't trying to address anybody specifically. Where did I state that people do not have or rather should not have the right to share their experiences and opinions?murnau wrote:you missed the whole point: it was more the fact that they delete his post without any further comment multiple times. it's even the title of his topic.. ..and yes, he have every right to make this public imo.If you missed whatever you wanted to buy a license for at 40 and it has since been increased to 50 then you missed it. Anybody feel that the sudden inflation is a deal breaker, just don't buy the product.
If I had been a mod at KVR I would maybe have locked the thread if the OP was going over the top about this price hike. But I wouldn't remove it, that is not a good thing to do.
IK don't hold a loaded gun at peoples head's to force them to use what they have to offer. Personally I rarely have had the need to use any of the private forums a company runs other than rare issues, So I wouldn't give a damn if what I posted was deemed irrelevant by whomever is in charge on the forum.
I can understand why some would be miffed such as Jan's case for example but Jan is not & never has been a professional victim, Like most regulars here Jan has always shot straight & her case of hosting going epically wrong is a whole different issue than a price rise for what ought to be clear as crystal reasons.
Wise words from John/Hink as usual and should be heeded; Peter is a very decent person and I am proud to call him a friend, All that will happen is the inevitable John spelled out...Peter will get to the point of needing just that one piece of straw to end up being the one which breaks the camel's back so to speak and we shall get a replacement whom lands in the exact same boat yet is nowhere near as honest/genuine plus maintains a very even temperament like Peter does. Then it'll become a right good circle of shit. A bitter taste for all is the way I see it personally and if that is what some want then keep pushing...You'll get your victory without people getting in your way, Yet what will you have achieved if you are absolutely honest with yourselves?
But hey what do I know? I certainly am NOT telling people what to do and what not to do. Please continue to express yourselves as individuals, That is birth right. Yet never forgot who your enemy is and who is not, This kind of what I mean;
Peace and my best to everyone as always

I've never been contacted directly about either the moderation on our forum nor with regard to questions about a pricing change, nor have there been tickets opened via support or contact via at least one other available method directly on our site (I checked to be sure I wasn't missing something that was overlooked elsewhere at the company). Please feel free to do so and I will answer the best I can or get you to the right person, a PM on our forum would be best as after reading this thread I'll probably take a quick break from KVR if possible.
I won't bother responding to allegations of things I supposedly have done to people in this thread, nor to any personal attacks/accusations otherwise that I see here. I don't have a personal issue with anybody here (it's a job, folks) so I won't get involved in that pettiness, sorry. However, I can and will respond to the direct contact that I never received about the matters that OP brings up in public here so feel free to PM me on our forum if there are any issues with the moderation there (as is laid out in said forum's rules) or with any pricing policies/changes/issues. I'm sure there are as many here who can attest to my willingness to help out when contacted but again - I was never contacted directly about this and I do realize that I'm not directly responsible or the target of the complaints, so nothing personal - just get in touch and I'll help out the best I can or get you to the right people if I'm not the right person.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on this. I found it to be an interesting exchange of ideas.
I was not trying to "shame" IKMM into doing anything, I didn't mention any rep by name, and yes, I could have passed on the offer at the higher price, but that wasn't the point. The point was that they kept deleting my posts.
I came to KVR to see if this had ever happened to anyone else. I didn't contact IKMM directly because if they were deleting my posts with no private response to me, why should I assume they'd respond to my direct contact? Also, there's no easy way to contact the board admins/moderators, which is all I wanted. (If you "need help", they provide a link which brings you to an overall "support" page for anything related to IKMM. On the "Contact Support" tab, you can ask about various IKMM products or shipping/sales orders...but not about the forum itself.)
I didn't turn this into a "campaign", and I said I wouldn't. I was asking if anyone else had had this experience. I joked about a few things (of of frustration, not anger), sure, but it was fairly obvious I was joking. I was NOT "playing the victim". It's a freakin' sale on VST effects, for crying out loud. Let's not lose our perspective here. I wasn't taking this that seriously.
For what it's worth, I like IKMM. I've praised them in forums during their generous offers, and I've defended them and their reps in this forum (and others) when I felt they were unfairly attacked. I just didn't understand why they were deleting my posts. If they didn't like them, they could have contacted me and explained which forum rule I was violating. That's all.
Again, I appreciate what everyone had to say on this, and I appreciate the forum KVR offers all of us to express our interests and concerns.

I shall spare you from attempting to explain my brand of humour, It no doubt wouldn't float your boat. I shall just give you one clue what I was referring to "#cancelcolbert"murnau wrote:yes in parts because you also wrote "Im not really joking (...)"Dean Aka Nekro wrote:What I said obviously went way above your head and my brand of humour is lost on you
it's always bad when you don't want "to address anybody specifically" but answer in a thread, chance is big that someone may could think that you reffering to the OP.
It was not directed at the OP nor anyone in particular as if I do ever have a comment to make at individual's I make it more than blatantly obvious. Which has gotten me a good few temp bans over the years...Deservedly so most of them no doubt too but I don't recall any since I don't hold grudges with people. I will admit I can come across not remotely like I intend to do, That is the price of no tone of voice, body language and facial expressions, I can not change me or that barrierDean Aka Nekro wrote:Still I wasn't trying to address anybody specifically.
well, you wrote things like: "I'm not really joking when I say that playing the role of professional victim is becoming all to common here" and "Come on KVR, You are better than this" it sure motivate others to share their experiences and opinions with you.
That is twice you have quoted that one, Really if you can not see how that does apply to certain characters on KVR, Not at all exclusively limited to these forums, Such an attitude is rampant in some generations in my experience. It does also have this uncanny knack for following pretty much anything IK Multimedia. I am definitely not the most observant sort of person, So if even I manage to do notice a pattern it must be very blatant to the observant sort of forum members! Clearly I was generalizing quite a lot plus the "KVR, You are better than this" was not just about this specific issueDean Aka Nekro wrote:Where did I state that people do not have or rather should not have the right to share their experiences and opinions?

@planetearth/Steve, I just wanted to say that nothing you have posted on this thread was my reason for using the 'professional victim' tag, It certainly was not accusing yourself of behaving that way. If I have left a bad taste in your mouth then I am sorry, It wasn't intentional or personal man
