Last July, I bought a licence for Reason 6.5 from forum user jonjon1212.
There was no Ignition key (found out after I paid) but the license was duely transfered into my account. He never sent the registration card.
A month later, I decided that Reason 6.5 was not for me and I sold it on.

Last Saturday, the new owner wrote to me saying that the original owner had "claimed back" his license with the registration card as proof.
Of course, the Propellerhead support was contacted with evidence of the sale (PayPal receipt). They have removed the license and put it in a special account until this mess has been sorted out.
So if you ever bought Reason without the card, this is what you could be exposed to.

If this is completely and accurate, I'd suggest you post this in the Feedback thread too. The general warning about this possibility is one thing, but the specific user you bought from clearly is not to be trusted.

^The user only had a few posts in the market place. However, the case is still unfolding at the Propellerhead forum.

A few licenses for Reason have been sold here and my post is more a warning for future buyers. No matter what, require the seller to send you the registration card.

Let's hope this doesn't lead to Props imposing restrictions on selling Reason licences second hand.

Karten,

Did your Reason 6.5 license include a license for Reason 2.5 with it?
I bought a Reason 2.5 license from someone on eBay last week. Upon trying to register it
on the Props website, I got the message that the serial is already registered to another user.

I then contacted Props support with a photo of the authorization card and they told
me that this 2.5 license has some other upgrades attached to it and that I can't register
it without owning those updates too.

Luckily though the eBay seller was kind enough to refund the money, but beware as
the photo of the authorization card was uploaded hi-res on the auction page before
the auction ended.
