quick question on itunes (importing cd's)

just a quick question regarding importing a cd into itunes

i have imported an artists cd into itunes and i was wondering if this will stay in my itunes library forver(like the same if i actually purchased it from itunes) or would i have to import the cd again(for instance if i reinstalled windows)?

Forever is a long time but yeah, iTunes won't just delete the album and force you to reimport. I've had CDs in my iTunes library for nearly 10 years, across several different machines, no problem.

This of course assumes your iTunes collection is stored on a separate disk!

If you reinstall Windows, make sure you move your iTunes library to a place where it wont get deleted. Best to keep it on a "data" drive, and leave the main drive for all the programs and OS.
