Imagine a pad synth layered with a lead synth and a pluck and all 3 are free synths. then you create a file to combine them in one folder.
That way people get the ability to see what you can do with multiple free synths with combo presets all layered and designed to work together. Choirs and pads plus organs maybe. list your favorite combinations to try.
Then when you create demos you have a far more interesting sounding creation that is more likely to sell. I would even venture to say that you could feature patches with commercial synths as well if you dealt with popular synths like Synthmaster, Diva, Monark OPX, Z3TA, Rapture and others.
I mention cakes synths that are available in cm issues because there is no excuse for anyone not already having something that was basically given away as a free gift and especially one that is as powerful as these synths are unless your just not that into keeping up with the free offers that have landed in most peoples laps in recent years and yes I have missed a few great free offers myself so I am not one to criticize. I still kick myself in the arse for not snagging that free minimoog player from arturia.
has anyone done this b4 banks for 2 or more synths layered?

A lot of synths do layering within the one synth.
Korgs got the LegacyCell which layers 2 synths into one unit kinda thing.
There's also layering like that in Zebra, as it has four slots that can have 4 different sounds, creating a layered instrument. There's a lot of those synths. Korg M1, and Wavestation.
Dune the free and new version 2 also have it so you can create layered sounds.
But yea you can do it with many different synths together in your daw, (as your suggesting) as well. Free or not.
I love the layered sounds. My favorite kind are a good bell, plucked, or keys type sound, and the background sound is a nice soft long releasing choir pad, or slowly growing resonance type pad.

anyone ever create a lead patch were the second track is a duplicate and the sound is delayed and then the third track ditto with a bit more delay and harmonization is used as well?
